"You… you can fly?!"
Brandon smiled, holding her closer as they soared above the clouds.
"I've learned a few things," he replied against her ear.
Freya's initial shock melted into pure delight.
She laughed brightly as she hugged his neck tighter and pressed a joyful kiss to his cheek.
"You're full of surprises, my dear man."
The thin nightgown did little to hide her body as they flew through the cool night air, but she didn't seem to mind at all.
She looked down at the world far below, the rivers , the distant lights of villages like scattered stars.
Then she tilted her head back and gazed up at the vast, endless sky "It's beautifu... I've never seen the world like this before."
Brandon adjusted his hold on her, making sure she was perfectly secure as he soared higher, breaking through a thin layer of clouds.
She laughed and leaned in to kiss him once more.
When they parted, Freya rested her forehead against his, "I feel like I'm dreaming."
