The Arena thrummed with energy as the students in their seats screamed in anticipation.

In the announcer's booth a tall woman in formal black clothes stepped to the edge.
Her voice, amplified by ether-augmented speakers, echoed through the stadium "THE TOURNAMENT FOR THIRD YEARS IS STARTING TODAY!"
The crowd detonated.
"Today we begin with the qualifying brackets. The winner claims the Third-Year Crown and first pick of sponsor offers from the Great Noble Houses."
The crowd roared in excitement, and the image of the participants of the first match appeared on the screen.
The announcer said "And for today's first match... it's BRANDON KAEL vs ALYSSA SYTHERIA."
