Brandon pushed the door open with a soft creak, stepping aside to let Florence in first.
"You can stay here for the night, Florence," he said in a calm voice but carrying that underlying warmth he always used when speaking with her.
Florence stepped inside with her usual grace and gently took his hand, pulling him inside with her.
Her fingers lingered on his skin, "Your new house looks nice," she murmured, her lips curving into a smile that was more affectionate than her usual flirtatious smirks.
Brandon closed the door behind them and he looked at her as she wandered into the living room.
She walked straight toward the window, pushing it open with an almost playful flick of her wrist.
The cool night breeze slipped in at once, and Florence leaned slightly against the window "Also has fresh air. It's quite different from the sea air near my mansion."
Brandon chuckled lightly and moved closer, "True… this place is calmer."
