Third Person's POV.
Percy woke up to the hushed, filtered light of his bedroom. The first thing he noticed was the familiar absence of the usual warmth beside him. His eyes went to the space where Gemini had been, a small flicker of annoyance crossing his face, quickly replaced by his characteristic calm. His routine was already disrupted.
He rose and walked into the sitting area. His gaze immediately landed on the small piece of paper on his desk. He picked up the note: "Percy, I had to get back to my dorm to do some clean up. See you later. - Gemini."
He crumpled the note and tossed it into the waste bin. The gesture was purely reflexive—a tidying action, not one of anger. He understood. Gemini, unlike himself, has no house keeper, and still had his own responsibilities, a normal college student's chaos to manage.
Percy went downstairs to find his twin sister, Penelope, already awake and radiating her usual morning energy. She was perched at the sleek breakfast bar, vibrant and talkative, a striking contrast to his own quiet intensity.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Penelope chirped, gesturing to a spread of freshly prepared fruit and pastries. "I was starting to think you'd achieved suspended animation up there. How was your Friday night? Was your chaos goblin able to help you get some rest after the insane week you've had?"
Percy poured himself a cup of coffee, his expression unreadable. "Don't call him that. Also...he left early to clean his dorm."
Penelope raised an eyebrow. "He left already? I made so much breakfast for everyone." She grumbled. "Oh, well! Let's talk about you. You look like you need another week-long nap yourself. Listen, I have an idea. Since the midterms are finally over, let's take a spontaneous trip. Rome? Paris? We haven't done a proper getaway in ages. We could leave this afternoon."
Percy sipped his coffee, his initial thought being a firm no. Spontaneity was not his forté, and a weekend getaway felt like more effort than relaxation.
"Pass. I have lots of designs to review. The jet's under maintenance, and I don't feel like navigating airport security."
Penelope sighed dramatically. "Percy, you're going to turn into a dusty old relic. You need to get out and decompress! Seriously, you've been doing nothing but working and…well, spending time with Gemini."
As Penelope continued her spirited debate about the merits of a trip to the Amalfi Coast, a thought struck Percy. He wasn't keen on a high-effort European trip, but he knew Penelope was right about one thing: he needed a change of scenery, and more importantly, Gemini needed a break. The younger boy had been running himself ragged. A noisy, crowded dorm room cleanup was the exact opposite of what he needed for recovery.
Percy put his cup down, a rare spark suddenly appeared in his green eyes.
"No Europe," he stated, cutting her off. "But we can go away. I'll call the crew. Let's take the yacht to the islands for the weekend."
Penelope's jaw dropped, her smile dissolving into pure astonishment before beaming wider than before.
"The yacht? Seriously? We haven't done that since last summer! Percy, that's brilliant! Are you…are you feeling alright?"
He ignored the jab, already pulling out his phone to make the necessary arrangements.
"I'll handle the logistics. Just pack a bag and inform the staff."
Penelope practically skipped around the counter, hugging him tightly.
"I'm so glad you're finally listening to me! This is going to be amazing!" She pulled back, her eyes lighting up with another thought. "Oh, wait! If it's going to be just the four of us as usual, we absolutely have to invite Gemini! He deserves a break too, especially after how hard he studied. Plus, the more the merrier!"
Percy paused, his finger hovering over a contact. This was exactly what he wanted, but he needed to maintain the facade of indifference.
"I suppose," he said coolly, as if considering it for the first time. "He's probably busy, but you can ask."
Penelope grabbed her own phone, grinning. "No, you ask. I'll be busy packing. Besides, I think he'd appreciate hearing it from you." She winked playfully. "Go on, Percy. Get out of your shell a little and invite your friend."
He gave a subtle nod, his focus already on coordinating the weekend escape. The thought of getting Gemini away from campus and out on the open water was satisfying. It was the perfect, controlled environment for necessary rest.
