Chapter 164 – Babidi Becomes a Subordinate, Lin Qi Disappears
"Don't think about running away. No matter what happens today, you have to fight me!"
"But..." Goku frowned, looking at Vegeta standing in front of him.
"If that guy is really as strong as the Supreme Kai says, Earth could be in danger!"
"Hmph!" Vegeta completely ignored him, his stance unusually firm as he let out a cold snort.
"I don't care about Earth or whatever—today, you must fight me!"
"Vegeta, you..." Goku could feel Vegeta's unusual stubbornness. He hadn't been like this before. What was making him so insistent this time?
While Goku and Vegeta were locked in their stalemate, on the other side, Lin Qi had indeed followed the faint magical fluctuations he sensed—and found the place.
Towa and Babidi had hidden their energy completely, but they still occasionally used magic, didn't they?
That faint magical fluctuation had led Lin Qi straight to the entrance of Babidi's spaceship.
Whoosh.
Hovering in midair, Lin Qi looked on indifferently, destructive energy already condensed in his palm.
He had no intention of being polite—he was going to destroy the spaceship outright and finish off Babidi and Towa. Simple and direct.
Oh, and also Towa's brother—the King of the Demon Realm, Dabura!
As for Majin Buu, there was no chance of him being resurrected!
Unlike the original story, where they battled through each floor of the spaceship, Lin Qi had no intention of playing by those rules.
Those were Babidi's rules—why should he follow his rules!?
Inside the ship, Babidi stared at the magic sphere displaying Lin Qi standing atop his vessel. Cold sweat streamed endlessly down his forehead.
"What do we do, Lady Towa?!" Babidi looked nervously at Towa beside him, his face full of obsequious flattery.
Originally, Babidi had controlled Dabura, but with Towa's interference...
Dabura had already been freed by Towa. He was now casually sitting at a table nearby, leisurely sipping tea.
Meanwhile, Babidi had become the subordinate—the one working under Towa!
How the tables had turned...
"Hmph, relax. I won't let trash like you go out there." Towa licked her lips seductively, turning to look into the shadows.
Within the shadows stood a pod resembling a healing chamber. Inside, a figure lay asleep.
"Mira... it's time to wake up."
As her gentle voice rang out, the figure inside the pod suddenly opened his eyes. Twin beams of red light shot out from them.
In an instant, the container shattered. The flying shards of glass startled Babidi so badly he nearly died on the spot.
He shrank back into a corner, trembling in fear, not daring to speak.
"Mira, go. Begin your first battle." Towa gently brushed her hand across Mira's chin and smiled faintly.
"Yes."
A powerful aura radiated from Mira as he replied indifferently—and vanished from where he stood!
"Lady Towa... is Lord Mira really going to be okay?" A trembling Babidi crawled out of the corner, still sweating.
"Hmph!" Towa snorted at the question, casting a scornful glance at Babidi.
The sound alone was enough to make Babidi clamp his mouth shut. He didn't even dare breathe too loudly.
"My Mira... how could he not be strong?"
"Y-yes, of course!" Babidi bowed his head, but his eyes were full of vicious malice, burning with resentment.
That damn woman! And those damn Saiyans! Just wait... once Majin Buu is resurrected, everyone who's crossed me is going to die!
As he plotted, the corner of his eye glanced at the giant egg not far behind him. The energy breaking the seal was already close to overflowing.
Babidi's gaze burned with excitement and anticipation—it was close... he was about to receive the ultimate gift his father had left behind...
Outside the spaceship, the destructive energy in Lin Qi's hand had fully gathered. Just as he was about to hurl it at the ship—
A dark silhouette suddenly appeared behind him, completely silent and without any detectable energy.
Lin Qi reacted quickly. Sensing the shift in air, he spun around and launched his destructive blast.
But in front of him was only a pitch-black void—where did it lead?
Lin Qi's brows furrowed deeply. "What the hell is this? Another one of Towa's tricks?"
Boom!
There was no enemy in sight, no energy signature at all. Lin Qi scanned the surroundings, trying to spot any trace.
Suddenly, an energy ball shot toward him. Lin Qi countered with his own ki blast.
The clash between the two attacks sent up a billowing cloud of smoke that blocked his vision. With a shout, Lin Qi dispersed it using his aura.
From within the smoke, a leg shot out at him.
Lin Qi raised a brow. Even in his base form, blocking that was difficult.
He was forced to retreat under the pressure, and just behind him—a black hole had appeared!
"Someone who can push me back in base form... since when did Earth have opponents like this?!"
Boom!
"What's going on... Lin Qi's energy..." Goku, still trying to reason with Vegeta, suddenly furrowed his brows.
"Look! What is that?!"
The skies above Earth had gone dark in an instant. The shockwave from the earlier blast had shaken the entire planet!
"This is bad..." Krillin looked up at the chaos in the spectator stands.
Some people thought it was an earthquake and ran screaming. The arena descended into panic.
The group behind the stage was also having trouble staying on their feet, each struggling to maintain balance.
The Supreme Kai, Shin, nearly stumbled, but managed to steady himself with Kibito's help. His expression was blank—he was questioning his very existence.
"What... what is this power? How can Earth have so many incredibly strong beings?!"
Vegeta glanced at Goku, having calmed down a bit. "What's going on? That was Lin Qi's energy just now, right?!"
"But it's disappeared now... could something have happened?" Gohan held Videl tightly, his voice filled with concern.
Goku, however, remained calm, analyzing the situation.
"No. There's no way Lin Qi would be taken down in an instant. He's probably been transported somewhere else."
The aftershocks soon faded, and the ground stopped shaking.
Kibito looked at the Supreme Kai, no longer leaning on him, and asked, "Supreme Kai, should we still go after Majin Buu?"
Sweat continued to drip down his face—it seemed like even if they did find Babidi, it wouldn't help much...
They couldn't win. But as gods, their duty wouldn't let them back out either.
The Supreme Kai didn't answer immediately. Instead, he glanced instinctively at Goku and the others.
He finally understood—if they wanted to stop Majin Buu, they'd have to recruit the Saiyans.
Otherwise, he and Kibito would just be walking to their deaths!
"Is it over?" Krillin let go of the pillar he was clutching, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and exhaled deeply.
"Hmph!" Vegeta snorted again, glaring at Goku as if to confirm something. "Don't forget what you promised me..."
