Rael gave Adam a quick rundown on what had been happening in the Depths, and soon enough, they were on the same page.
But of course, before the talks could continue further, he pointed at the unconscious Melina.
"Wake her up, would you? She's important," Rael said plainly.
Adam rolled his eyes and waved his hand. In the next instant, Melina jolted awake, her eyes wide as a deep frown appeared on her face.
"Hey... I get that you're strong and all, but what's with the pressure shit? Could you kindly keep it to yourself?" Melina asked ominously.
Rael elbowed her side. "Your pirate side is seeping out."
"So what?" Melina scoffed, propping her legs on the repaired table. "If I'm going to die, I might as well die knowing that I've spoken my mind to the bastard."
