"Alright, you seem fine enough," the healer said plainly.
He took his hands off Rael's forehead, then went over and threw the gloves into the trash bin.
"You're pretty much good to go, unless you want to laze around here for another week. When the big boys come in, just act like you're in a coma or something," the healer offered. "Oh, but no meddling with the other patients. When you're in here, you're in here alone."
"Right..." Rael nodded slowly. "I'll probably take my leave then. But could you remind me where those who just woke up from comas usually go?"
"Home, obviously," the healer replied matter-of-factly. "People tend to think the Great Solenne is going to send them back to war, but that's not usually the case. She is magnanimous enough to understand that everyone needs their peace and quiet."
With that, he took a few steps backward, approaching another patient. Then, he shot a thumbs-up at Rael.
