Chapter 5 - Tension

The ground trembled violently, sending everyone into a frenzy. Panic erupted in every corner of the room. Chairs toppled, glass shattered, and people scrambled for safety.

When they rushed outside, the chaos didn't end. What they saw next was beyond comprehension.

A meteor shower lit up the sky, fiery rocks tumbling down toward the earth. They streaked across the sky like fiery streaks of light, crashing down with a deafening roar.

One of the young girls, wide-eyed, gasped. "It's like Your Name!" She pointed to the sky, her voice a mixture of awe and fear.

Stuti's gaze followed the meteors' path as they fell toward the city. The rich district was the first to be hit. The meteors rained down mercilessly, but it wasn't just the wealthy who would feel the destruction.

"…And the poorest as well," the author's voice echoed in her mind, adding an ominous tone to the unfolding disaster.

Shan stood frozen, eyes wide in shock. Stuti noticed the panic in his expression, the way his body tensed as he fought to keep calm. He didn't want to scare the kids.

Stuti knew what she had to do. She walked over to the young girl still staring at the sky. "So, is it really like Your Name?" Stuti asked, trying to inject a bit of humor to ease the tension.

The girl nodded enthusiastically, still glued to the sky. "It's so cool... but also terrifying."

Stuti smiled and asked - '' Kimi no Nawa??.. '' (What's your name)

The girl replied with an innocence with a broken japenese

-'' Boku wo Preet des '' (I'm Preet)

Well, what a nice name and pulled the girl into a quick hug. "You're really warm," she murmured, her voice soft. "I've never felt this warm before."

The other children were staring, clearly confused by the moment. One of them whispered, "What does that mean?"

A voice from somewhere in the room piped up, "It's just a JoJo reference..."

Stuti shook her head with a grin. "No, no. It's from a Makoto Shinkai movie," she corrected, before adding seriously, "But seriously, the apocalypse is happening.?? Wasn't it supposed to be a zombie one"

The voice from earlier echoed in her mind again, this time clearer: 'The apocalypse has begun... Young lady..It's a mixture.. I' ld say.. As I said I've been watching you afterall' '

Her heart skipped a beat. What was that voice? Shan, still standing by her side, was blissfully unaware, too caught up in watching her with a soft smile on his face. He had no idea what was going on.

Stuti nudged him, her voice low and urgent. "Did you hear that?"

Shan smiled, his voice warm, "Yeah, I did. Yours."

His voice was so smooth, so soothing, that it made her heart flutter. But she snapped out of it quickly. The apocalypse was unfolding, and romance had no place here. She kicked his leg lightly.

"You're unbelievable," she said, her voice a mix of frustration and fondness. "Here we are, in the middle of a meteor shower, and you're acting all sweet?".. She kicked his balls.. He falled like a fallen angel trying to avoid his pain..

The children, sensing the tension, giggled among themselves. One of them whispered, "She's so boring. No wonder she's with Bhaiya."

Stuti couldn't help but chuckle. "I'm not boring!" she called after them, though deep down, she knew maybe she had a little too much responsibility on her shoulders right now to be anything else.

Turning to the kids, she said firmly, "Go back to your rooms and study. We need to stay calm and prepare for what's coming."

The children groaned but obeyed, heading back toward their rooms. Stuti took a deep breath, but her focus didn't last long. She looked down at Shan, still on the floor, holding his side in mock agony.

"I can finally practice celibacy now," he muttered dramatically, rolling his eyes.

Stuti sighed, trying to hold back a laugh. She kicked him again, this time on his back. "You'll have kids with me, idiot. I'm not letting you off the hook that easily."

Shan moaned dramatically, crawling into the corner of the room. "Maybe I got a little carried away with the situation. But I does have a chance to remain a celibate."

Stuti raised an eyebrow and approached him with a teasing smile. "You're so dramatic. Do you ever stop?"

Without waiting for a response, she grabbed him by the collar, pulling him closer to her. She adjusted his tie, fingers brushing against his chest. "Here we are, in the middle of a meteor shower, facing an apocalypse, and you're still thinking about romance?"-She said..

-'' You moron''-She hanged his tie around him... And reminded him of the intensity of the situation

-She futhere added that, she heard author' s voice

Shan grinned, his eyes soft. "Maybe it's because I'm thinking about you. . But for now, we need to focus on a plan."

Stuti nodded, her gaze hardening with determination. "Right. A plan."

She followed Shan into his room, a space that felt like a strange blend of an artist's sanctuary and a library. The walls were covered with paintings, sketches, and drawings. It was like the room itself was alive with the stories Shan had poured into his art.

Stuti paused, taking it all in. "So you're an artist?" she asked, her voice full of curiosity.

Shan nodded, his gaze thoughtful. "Sometimes. It's what made me wealthy, but I've branched out. I've got a lot of things going on.. Otherwise, I'm more into research ''

Stuti smiled, his perfect husbandmaterial was really perfect..

As she thought
