Morning.
Wearing a school uniform, Noel yawned, one hand in his pocket and his bag slung over one shoulder.
Looking listless, he walked into the classroom. "Morning, everyone."
"Good morning, Noel-aniki!"
"What's wrong? You look like you didn't sleep well."
"Yeah, good morning. I just stayed up too late reading last night, that's all," Noel replied with a smile.
"Um… um… Noel, I think it'd be best if you wore your uniform properly. Your buttons… aren't all done up," said Student Council President Erza as she walked over, adjusting her glasses and stammering slightly.
"Oh, right." Noel scratched his blond hair and only then noticed he had only fastened three of the buttons, revealing his collarbone and part of his chest.
He began buttoning up his shirt.
Completely unaware of the effect he had, he ended up charming a bunch of underclassmen in the classroom.
"What's Natsu doing?" Noel asked, pointing at Natsu, who was setting up a bucket and rope above the classroom door.
"Natsu's obviously trying to get Gray," Mira said with a smile.
Three black lines metaphorically appeared on Noel's forehead.
"No way anyone's gonna fall for such a simple trap."
"Yeah, true," Wendy nodded.
But just as Noel finished speaking, there was a loud thud—followed by the splash of water being dumped.
"No way…" Noel twitched at the corners of his mouth and turned to look at the door.
There stood a blonde girl, completely soaked.
The stunned look on her face made it painfully clear what had happened.
The entire class burst into shameless laughter at the scene.
"Lucy, are you okay?" Wendy asked, offering her a handkerchief.
"Thanks, Wendy," Lucy said, then turned to yell at the class, "Hey! Who did this?!"
"It was Natsu, right?"
"Yeah, who else would pull something like that besides Natsu?"
"NATSU!!" With her forehead vein bulging, Lucy turned and glared at Natsu.
But before she could even go off on him, Natsu beat her to it, angrily yelling back.
"What the heck, Lucy?! I had that all set up for Gray! Why'd some idiot like you have to fall for it?!"
"My, my, getting heated so early in the morning," Gray commented lazily as he walked into the classroom, watching Lucy and Natsu bicker without a care in the world.
"Which eye of yours sees it that way?!"
"It was meant for you!"
Both Natsu and Lucy shouted at him in unison.
"As if I'd fall for such a childish trap," Gray scoffed, walking proudly to his seat—only to sit down right onto a pile of burning charcoal Natsu had planted on his chair, while Noel stood nearby with a twitching expression.
"Natsu's way too ruthless," Noel said blankly, watching Gray jump up clutching his butt and howling in pain.
"If my butt's burned, it's your fault!"
"You wanna fight? I'm fired up now."
"Just what I was hoping for, you jerk!" Gray shouted, ignoring the shocked looks from the girls in class as he instantly stripped off all his clothes.
"That's enough. Get ready for class," came the calm but authoritative voice of student council president Erza, instantly quelling the conflict between Gray and Natsu.
Class began, and Noel, both speechless and exasperated, watched as a blue cat in a suit walked into the classroom and stood in front of the blackboard.
What really drained all the strength from him was seeing the cat struggle with all its might—and fail—to climb onto the podium.
Noel collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed.
His last thought before blacking out was: (This world is insane. Our teacher is actually a cat.)
After surviving the morning classes, Noel let out a sigh and sat on the school building's rooftop to eat.
He glanced at Makarov, who was grilling squid beside him, and asked, "Makarov, you've been hanging around this school for years. Still not planning to graduate?"
"Shut it. I'm still young, you know."
Noel felt that eating lunch on the rooftop was a terrible mistake—because once again, he witnessed the two idiots, Natsu and Gray, fighting.
What really pushed him over the edge was seeing Natsu shove hot sauce into Gray's mouth, and Gray retaliating by stuffing a refrigerant pack into Natsu's mouth.
The two of them then collapsed, writhing on the ground, and Noel had the sudden urge to just throw them both off the rooftop.
"You two morons, cut it out already," Noel said with a menacing glare.
"Y-Yes, Noel-aniki!!!" they shouted in unison.

"Phantom?" Noel raised an eyebrow after hearing what the others said.
"Noel-aniki, those Phantom guys are seriously clueless! They actually dared to provoke you!"
"Yeah! Let's beat them up!" Natsu said eagerly.
"Don't they know that Fairy Academy is your turf, Noel-aniki?"
"Heh..." Noel sneered.
His golden hair suddenly turned silver, and his right eye transformed into a purple six-pointed star.
"Foolish ants… daring to offend my dignity? They must be tired of living."
"Ohhh, here it comes—Noel-aniki's berserk mode," Gray said, staring at Noel in awe.
"Heh, now then… where exactly are those Phantom bastards?" Noel licked his lips, a bloodthirsty smile spreading across his face.
Just as Noel was muttering to himself, Loke suddenly came running from a distance, shouting as he approached:
"Noel-aniki! The Phantom guys are attacking the girls from our school!"
"NANI!!"
"They truly have no regard for their lives. My subordinates, come—let us show those insolent lowlifes the greatness of myself! Hahahaha!"
Instead of getting angry at Loke's words, silver-haired Noel laughed wildly with delight.
"Ohhh!!"
With that, Noel led a group charging out.
Maybe thanks to some good luck, they quickly found the Phantom delinquents harassing Erza, Lucy, and Wendy.
Noel, still in his silver-haired mode, dashed ahead.
But as he got closer, he noticed something odd—Phantom actually seemed to be the ones on the losing side.
Erza, having removed her glasses, had already taken down one of the Phantom thugs.
(Note: When Erza takes off her glasses, her combat ability and fighting spirit surge several times over.)
"No... Noel?" Erza, caught up in the excitement of battle, suddenly froze in embarrassment the moment she saw Noel.
