After some experimentation, Idan quickly realized that Ash's true value lay not in the number of blades he created.
The symbiote was not a source of new energy.
It did not replenish Idan's reserve of strength and did not feed the flame instead. Everything that appeared was created from Idan's internal reserves.
However, Ash was giving Idan something much more valuable: control.
It was like a second consciousness, inextricably linked to Idan's will. Whenever Idan wanted to attack, the flames took the form of spears. At the thought of defending himself, a wall of fire appeared in front of him. And if he wanted to hold back the enemy, chains, rings or fetters were born from the fire.
Idan no longer had to hold each shape manually. Ash sensed his intentions and helped embody them, distributing attention, stabilizing structures, and directing fire as if it were a natural extension of his body.
But that wasn't even the main point.
Ash was a creature of fire.
