Having reached her goal, Irina happily called the waitress over and placed another order.
"Aren't you afraid that once we get the information we need, we won't keep our word?" Arabel asked with a smile, noting that Irina hadn't even mentioned signing a contract to consolidate the union.
"I believe that you will keep your word," Irina said confidently.
"No offense, but I still have doubts about you," Arabel confessed in response.
Irina, of course, was not offended by her words. In truth, she doubted it herself, but her instincts and observations told her that they would keep their word.
As for the distrust, it is quite natural, considering their origin from different worlds. Even between beings from the same world, there was sometimes distrust and doubt.
