When Idan heard Tamisra's question, he immediately understood its essence.
"None of them want to give up their throne?" he asked. Tamisra only smiled in response.
The Queen's rule was very simple: she did not allow anyone from her race to reach the sixth rank. She didn't need any competitors.
Like the Queen, the other rulers of the Dark Territories had similar views. None of them allowed other creatures to reach the sixth rank.
At first glance, everything seemed clear, but the more Idan thought about this question, the more mysteries he found.
"But if the Queen and the other rulers don't allow Rank 5 creatures to reach rank 6, what's stopping others from just hiding and breaking through? Do the rulers really have a way to monitor every creature and know for sure if it has reached the sixth rank?" muttered Idan aloud.
