The space around the Eternal Flame Elf distorted and solidified in the next instant.
He tried to move, but to no avail. Terror and panic rose up inside him.
Thanks to his experience, the Elf instantly regained control of himself and released as much fiery energy as he could, as well as the full power of his soul. The restraining force gave way, and he was finally able to move.
But then his gaze caught a rift in the space in front of him, and then a dark sword, sparkling with silvery radiance. He tried to dodge, but his partially freed body failed him.
Space split apart, and a powerful force crashed down on his body, knocking the air out of his lungs. He flew backwards and hit the edge of the arena with a bang.
A sharp pain shot through his entire body.
For a moment, the Elf thought he was dead.
But miraculously, he was still alive. The arena had saved him.
After that, the realization came — he had lost.
