Chapter 226 - Chapter 225: No Failure

Above the sky, a massive battleship slowly descended towards the ground, and a heavy, oppressive atmosphere spread in the air.

The hatch opened, and countless figures poured out, dense and packed like a wave of black tide.

Leading the charge were the Chitauri soldiers, wielding blades and firearms.

Right after them, the enormous Leviathan warship, exuding a cold metallic glow, slowly approached, casting a shadow over the earth.

The Chitauri giant apes, the size of small mountains, marched forward, each step causing the ground to tremble.

The Obsidian Five stood solemnly, radiating a chilling aura, with the infamous Thanos standing among them.

He wore thick, mysterious gold armor adorned with intricate patterns. His broad shoulders seemed capable of carrying the weight of the world, and his slaughtering blade gleamed coldly in the dim light, with his purple skin looking even more imposing and domineering.

On the human side, only Chino and the half-broken Avengers remained.

"Seems a little weak!" Chino snapped his fingers.

Countless portals appeared behind him.

"Chino, you're finally planning to act against another Earth."

First to fly out from the portal was Tony's Apollo armor.

Following closely behind, various types of armor followed.

"Young master."

Xi led the overwhelming demon army from another portal.

"Boss."

Frank stood tall, leading the magic weapon squad, marching out of the portal.

Tanks and armored vehicles followed, their engines roaring, the sound of steel filling the air, showcasing the power of steel and machinery.

"Chino."

Venom also appeared with Pamela and others.

Except for Charles and Erik, who stayed behind with the mutants to keep the peace and a few wounded, Chino brought everyone else along.

Although, Chino could have dealt with everything alone.

Army against army. King against king.

Thanos stared at the opposing force, which was just as formidable as his own, and his expression remained unchanged as he continued to march forward.

Until Chino and Thanos came within five steps of each other, both stopped simultaneously.

At this moment, the sky had turned dark from the earlier intense bombardment, like a heavy curtain pressing down, making it hard to breathe.

"Who are you?"

"The Demon King, Chino. Like you, I come from another parallel universe."

"Why stop me?"

"No reason. I just feel like it."

Chino actually thought about conquering Thanos.

But that was impossible.

This guy was a pure idealist who was willing to sacrifice everything for his goal, even himself.

Thanos, hearing this reason, was not angry. He squeezed his slaughtering blade.

"This universe's version of me once succeeded. I gathered all the Infinity Stones, snapped my fingers, and wiped out half of the universe's life."

"But because of your appearance, everything turned to ashes again. Once more, I failed. Does fate itself reject my ideals?"

At this moment, Thanos's gaze revealed a moment of confusion. It was the kind of confusion that comes when you start to doubt the beliefs you've held for a lifetime.

In his original understanding, in this universe, his ideals were already achieved, and the Infinity Stones were destroyed. Everything was meant to prosper and balance according to his plan.

But fate had played a joke on him.

A group of failures created machines to travel through parallel universes, obtained the Infinity Stones from another universe, and his plan only lasted for five years.

"There is no failure."

Chino suddenly spoke, his voice low but clear to everyone.

"What did you say?"

Thanos paused for a moment.

"I only revived the humans and Asgardians who died five years ago due to the snap, along with the aliens who died on Titan during the battle with your version of me."

"As for the other aliens in the universe, I didn't bring them back. And the extra humans on Earth are insignificant to the entire universe. So, your ideal didn't fail. Would you feel better hearing that?"

Chino smiled as he explained.

"What?"

The Avengers gasped in surprise.

However, they soon quieted down.

Thinking carefully, Chino's approach actually benefited Earth immensely. It not only brought back the people who had disappeared but also avoided the potential troubles that too many alien beings might cause by being resurrected.

"Hahaha!!!"

Thanos removed his helmet and started laughing wildly.

It was the kind of joy that comes from regaining something lost, a joy of being tricked by fate only to have things take a turn for the better.

"Thank you. You made my ideals not fail."

Thanos stopped laughing and said sincerely.

"You're welcome. After all, you're about to die."

Chino's tone remained calm, as if stating something entirely ordinary.

"Can you bury me on this world's Karis?" (Made-up name)

Thanos's eyes revealed a hint of hope, a longing for his final resting place.

"Sure."

Thanos slowly put his helmet back on, took up his slaughtering blade, and his gaze rekindled with determination.

From the moment he blocked the warship's attack, he knew he wasn't a match for Chino, but...

Thanos never surrenders!

Chapter 225: No Failure (2/2)

"Everyone, attack!"

"Roar!!!"

The Chitauri soldiers, giant apes, and the Obsidian Five roared in unison, their voices deafening.

They knew they were marching to their deaths, but under their master's command, they showed no fear and charged forward recklessly.

"Kill them! But don't damage the battleship."

The Demon King's side, the demon army, and the magic weapon squad responded with force.

The sound of artillery filled the air as shells streaked across the sky like shooting stars, bringing fiery flames and destructive power to rain down on the enemy.

However, both sides skillfully avoided the middle area, leaving an undisturbed battlefield.

"Do you like my number two battleship? Too bad my Dark Sanctum is too large, I couldn't bring it."

Thanos spoke while raising his hand, delivering a mighty downward strike with his slaughtering blade, the wind howling as it aimed at Chino.

The Veshanti Sacred Sword.

Chino responded by instantly forming a magic sword, firmly blocking the strike as sparks flew.

"Your Dark Sanctum doesn't suit my tastes; this number two battleship is enough."

Bosat's Thunder.

Chino pressed his hand onto the ground, and dozens of thick red lightning bolts shot up, rapidly encircling Thanos.

The surrounding Chitauri giant apes couldn't dodge in time and were instantly turned to ash by the lightning, disappearing into the air.

The others, seeing this, quickly moved back.

Thanos's expression grew serious as he took out a scepter from his chest and stabbed it into the ground.

Blue energy radiated from the scepter, rippling outwards, and where it reached, even the ferocious red lightning was neutralized.

"The Mind Stone, you already have it?"

Chino raised an eyebrow, pleasantly surprised.

"I found it when I annihilated a planet. The king there tried to use it to control me, but I killed him. It's the only planet I didn't leave half of."

As Thanos spoke, blue energy beams shot from the top of the scepter, traveling faster than the eye could follow, and in the blink of an eye, they reached Chino.

"Nice kill."

Chino's fingers rapidly formed hand seals.

A massive golden shield materialized in front of him.

Hogwarts Ancient Master.

The two forces collided, creating a dazzling display of light, with the blue energy scattering like butterflies, mesmerizing to look at.
