Chitauri Mothership
The Chitauri leader roared in anger.
"Why does Earth, a planet that hasn't even entered the interstellar age, possess such a powerful energy shield—one that even has identification functions? That bastard Loki never mentioned this!"
"Leader, under our continuous assault, the shield is about to be breached," replied someone from the main warship.
Upon hearing this, the Chitauri leader calmed down.
"Although Loki's intelligence is unreliable, he still performed well. With such a massive wormhole, we can report back to the Master and credit him with merit."
"Leader, the shield is breached. The mothership can now enter Earth… Something is charging at us from the other side."
The subordinate's voice turned to shock.
"It must be Earth's resistance forces. Loki's intel mentioned something called nuclear bombs. Activate the defense shield and destroy it."
The Chitauri leader responded calmly.
"It's not a bomb—it's a human!"
"What?"
The Chitauri leader looked through the massive observation window and saw a human flying toward them.
Energy blasts struck him but didn't slow him down in the slightest.
He smashed through anything in his way with a single punch.
What was truly shocking was that he wasn't wearing any visible technological equipment—only a battle suit.
To traverse space with just one's body… that's the mark of a Celestial-level being, just like the Master.
How could Earth have such a being?
"Loki, you little bastard!!!"
"All ships, intercept him! Mothership, initiate space-jump imme—"
The rest of his words never came out.
A portal had suddenly opened before him, and Kino now stood in the command room.
"I slowed down on purpose because I wanted to see the power of your mothership firsthand. But trying to run midway? That's your mistake."
Kino looked around the command room.
Although he wasn't fond of the color scheme or layout, with some modifications, it might still be usable.
The Chitauri leader stared at him in utter terror—he had appeared in an instant. Their shield and reinforced walls hadn't even slowed him down.
"…My master is Thanos. We did not know Earth was under your protection. We were deceived and have unintentionally offended your authority. We are willing to compensate."
The Chitauri leader bowed his head, hoping that invoking Thanos might make Kino hesitate.
Everyone in the command room fell to their knees, trembling.
"No need to panic. Get up. Let's finish this war first—then we can talk."
"…Yes."
New York City, Earth
A metallic figure bathed in sunlight descended upon a towering skyscraper.
Facing the dark tidal wave of Chitauri forces, Tony Stark spoke with confidence.
"Jarvis, give them something big."
[Yes, sir. Environmental scan complete. Apollo Armor ready for full-power deployment.]
Suddenly, heavy support rods emerged from Tony's boots and back, plunging into the building's structure and anchoring the armor in place.
At the same time, his arms crossed over his chest. The armor's components began splitting and reconfiguring with sharp, mechanical sounds.
In the blink of an eye, Tony's shoulders, arms, and back revealed dozens of dark, ominous gun barrels.
Blinding yellow energy began gathering in each of them, forming scorching, unstable orbs of destruction.
The immense energy surge quickly caught the Chitauri's attention, especially their ships, which attempted to change course.
Too late.
"Fire!"
A massive array of beams erupted from every barrel, converging into a single catastrophic blast.
The energy cannon crashed into the center of the enemy fleet with an ear-splitting boom.
A devastating shockwave followed, flattening everything in its path. Smoke billowed in all directions.
As the dust cleared, people were stunned to see a massive hole—nearly a hundred meters wide—blasted clean through the alien forces, as if a giant invisible hand had scooped them away.
There wasn't even any debris left—the heat had vaporized everything.
Smoke rose from Tony's cannons, and cracks spread across the rooftop beneath his feet.
"Jarvis, status report."
[Sir, cooling process initiated. Estimated time: three minutes. Solar Core experienced a temporary energy deficit—transitioning to backup reactor. Sir, I do not recommend using an untested suit.]
"Jarvis, sometimes you have to learn to run before you can walk. Besides, wasn't that a perfect test?"
Tony Stark grinned.
The Apollo Armor's design was inspired by the armor worn by Galanata. Tony had paid 100 arc reactors just to have her help with structural optimization.
The entire suit was built from adamantium alloy, hell-forged heat-resistant materials, and promethium metal. The cost of this one suit surpassed all the others combined.
Ideally, it would have been made from N-Metal, but Kino barely had any left for himself, let alone to sell.
Through extensive research and testing, Tony had discovered that increasing the armor's size dramatically boosted energy output.
This allowed him to unleash massive attacks in one go—creating a vacuum in the Solar Core that forced it to shut down cleanly.
The Apollo Armor was built for war—high defense, overwhelming power, and incredible speed.
It was a war-specialized unit.
But Tony's smile soon vanished as another Chitauri wave descended upon him.
Tony turned around and bolted.
Elsewhere, with the Mutants
The mutants finally caught their breath now that reinforcements had arrived.
"That was terrifying. One shot and he killed more aliens than all of us combined," said Bobby, resting on a wrecked car.
"I wonder if it's for sale," said John, eyes gleaming.
"No way, but you can buy the Mark I suit," said Kurt, a shy boy (Nightcrawler).
"Tch, war profiteer," Pietro muttered with disdain as he looked at Tony basking in the spotlight.
Even if their parents had come back to life, childhood trauma was not so easily erased.
He caught his breath and rushed toward the next battlefield.
"Hubby, I'm so tired. Carry me?" Emma held out her hand and pouted sweetly.
"Walk yourself," Logan replied gruffly. He still hadn't settled the score over her forcing Magneto's fingerprint for that deal.
And now she kept nagging him about smoking and drinking.
"There's a reward if you do!" Emma teased as she pulled a cigar from her cleavage and wiggled it in front of him.
Gulp.
Logan's eyes were fixed on the cigar, tracking it intently. He hadn't smoked in a whole day.
"Fine…" he sighed and squatted down.
Emma smirked and jumped onto his broad back. Her curves pressed into him, and his heart skipped a beat.
"Here you go. Perfect humidity," she said.
"…Smells off?"
Logan took a puff as he ran toward the others, frowning.
"Of course—it's been next to my skin all day. Smells even better now, right?"
"No wonder it's a little sour. When's the last time you bathed?"
Clang!
"I bathe every day! Now shut up and keep moving!"
Emma transformed one hand into diamond and whacked him on the head.
If this wasn't being livestreamed, she would've cursed him out already.
The internet exploded with reactions:
"That guy's an idiot! Even if it smells, if it's a cigar warmed by the goddess, I'd still say it's fragrant!""Bro, you're dreaming.""Tough guy and queen combo—I love it!"
Note: As for Silver Fox—let her stay in the past. I never liked her. She approached Logan with ulterior motives, and later betrayed him, no matter her reasons. Besides, in the comics, the White Queen also pursued Wolverine. I really like that pairing.
Quote of the Chapter:"A man may build a hundred suits of armor, but it takes one soul with fire to burn through the heavens."
