Chapter 182 - Chapter 180 – Russian Roulette

Chapter 180 – Russian Roulette

Deadpool drew his katana. As long as Kino gave the nod, a swift beheading would follow.

"How about this instead?"

Kino opened a portal.

"Little Kiki, why'd you call me? We were having such a great time shopping!" Harley stepped out and immediately spotted the Joker.

"Joker!"

"Harley!"

The Joker looked at her in shock. Wasn't she supposed to be preparing to rescue him?

"Who's a Joker? You're the Joker!" Kino sneered as he looked at him.

Harley instantly understood why she had been summoned.

"Joker, we're over! F*ck you!" she shouted, raising both middle fingers at him.

Now, the Joker's face matched his hair—green with fury. No matter how crazy a man is, being publicly humiliated like that would enrage anyone.

"AHHHHHH! Harley! You dare betray me?! I'll find you, kill you, and peel your skin off!"

"Betrayal? This is what betrayal really looks like!"

Harley, fearless, stepped up to Kino, grabbed his hand—one to her chest, the other to her backside—and kissed him fiercely.

The Joker looked like he might explode. He lunged for Deadpool's holstered gun—

SLAP!

Deadpool slapped him right across the face.

The Arkham graduates behind them all gawked at the scene.

The Crime King, the Joker, was publicly humiliated.

What a juicy drama. Major news!

SMOOCH!

A long while later, Kino finally pried Harley off of him.

This little maniac even bit him.

Kino shook his head helplessly and wiped the tears from the corners of Harley's eyes.

"All right, go find Red. Anything you like, just take it—on my tab."

"Mm," Harley nodded.

She silently said goodbye to her past.

Without even glancing at the Joker, she walked toward the portal.

Kino walked up to the Joker.

"Why so serious now? You were wrong about one thing. It's not that I can't kill you. It's that I don't want to."

The Joker couldn't be killed—not just because of the Dionysian Factor, but because the world itself refused to let him die.

If this Joker died, who knew if the next one might be even more terrifying?

"What do you want to do?" the Joker asked, sensing something bad was coming.

"Ever played Russian Roulette?"

A glowing orb appeared in Kino's hand.

"The first one—Rat!"

The light orb entered the Joker's chest.

His pupils shrank, and a sensation of internal swelling overtook him.

"Cat!"

Blood vessels burst across the whites of the Joker's eyes.

"Dog!"

"AAAHHHHHH!"

He couldn't hold it anymore. A blood-curdling scream escaped his throat.

"Almost done, just one more—how about... Sparrow?"

"…"

The Joker could no longer scream. He collapsed onto the ground, convulsing. His makeup twisted into a nightmarish grimace from the sheer pain.

The Arkham graduates all cowered in the corners, terrified of Kino. They watched as he tortured the Joker while smiling.

This man was a demon.

"The last one... Fish."

As the final spirit merged into the Joker's soul, he completely lost consciousness.

Kino simply stood there, quietly watching him.

"Boss, did you kill him?" Deadpool crouched down beside the Joker and poked his head.

"If he were that easy to kill, he wouldn't be the Joker."

In terms of willpower, Batman ranked first. The Joker came second.

This kind of "weight"—he could handle it.

Kino's cold gaze swept across the trembling Arkham graduates. None dared to meet his eyes.

"Boss, here are the pictures you wanted," Deadpool said, standing up and handing Kino a camera.

Kino glanced through it.

The camera held a collection of Deadpool's selfies with various villains—Deadpool pulling goofy expressions while the villains either looked like they'd lost the will to live, tried to fake smiles, or sported black eyes and missing teeth.

Most of the photos were of the Joker—in all kinds of humiliating poses.

Kino smiled faintly.

One more for the collection.

"Well done. Your bonus just went up to a million."

Deadpool's eyes lit up. He'd spent days having fun, and snapping a few pictures had just earned him an easy half-million more.

"Boss, you're so generous—I'm starting to fall for you."

"You want Venom to grind you into meat paste?"

"On second thought, maybe not."

The Joker soon regained consciousness. The moment he saw Kino, he leapt up from the ground like an animal—on all fours, back arched, growling lowly.

"Meow!"

Fear clouded his twisted expression.

Kino softly called out, "Kitty-kitty… be good…"

He pulled out a can of cat food, opened it slowly, and placed it on the ground.

The Joker's eyes sparkled with caution. Like a startled bird, he stared at Kino warily.

But when his gaze fell upon the cat food, a craving flickered in his eyes—an uncontrollable, primal hunger.

He crept forward bit by bit, trembling slightly. Each step was careful, as though approaching an enticing yet deadly trap.

Once he confirmed it was safe, the Joker let down his guard just a bit and gently licked the food.

As the food touched his tongue, he purred contentedly. At that moment, he truly resembled a docile cat, lost in the bliss of delicious comfort.

Kino smiled as he whispered again, "Good kitty."

SMACK!

Suddenly, the Joker smacked the can away and slowly lifted his head. His bloodshot eyes locked onto Kino.

"What… did you do to me?!"

"You're impressive—waking up so quickly," Kino said, unbothered by the outburst.

"I just stuffed a rat, a cat, a dog, a sparrow, and a fish into your soul. From now on, any of those spirits could take over at any moment.

If you can still create chaos under those conditions… then I'll admit defeat."

Kino looked at him with a pleasant smile.

"Who the hell are you?!"

The Joker's eyes overflowed with rage, madness, and despair. His body trembled with fury as if he were about to devour Kino alive.

The Joker was obsessed with chaos—not as a momentary act, but as a constant state in Gotham.

He always orchestrated schemes to fuel ongoing chaos, finding deep satisfaction in watching people crumble and suffer.

But now? He could barely stay sane long enough to plan anything.

"You're asking who I am? Isn't it obvious?"

A dark mist shrouded Kino's body. As it dispersed, an enormous, terrifying form emerged.

It had sharp horns atop its head and great black wings that unfurled behind him, blotting out the sky.

His skin glowed like burning coal, and his crimson eyes flickered with a haunting gleam.

"I am the Demon King… the Demon King from Hell!"

"Demon King, hahaha… what a hellish joke—hahahaha… meow… chirp chirp…"

The Joker began babbling—his mouth spewing incoherent animal sounds, his face contorted, and his body trembling uncontrollably.

The Arkham graduates witnessing this horrifying transformation collapsed to the floor in fear—some even lost control of their bladders.

The air was thick with terror and despair.

Hell is real.

Quote of the Chapter:

"Some minds are so broken, only chaos keeps them sane—until something more chaotic arrives."
