Dante laughed.
"I see. how have you been?"
She shrugged ,"No different , its been a fun time for me." He turned his eyes to the left to notice Amber didn't express the same sentiment. Chuckling he nodded as he surveyed the battle ground.
It reeked of a battle but not a serious one. 'They must have been more focused on control then pure battle'
Without another word, he disappeared. 'She's probably super mad'
A single spatial jump later, he found them. Elric lay flat on the ground, covered in bruises, breathing heavily, looking like someone who had spent hours questioning every decision that had brought him to this point in life.
The moment Elric noticed Dante, relief flooded his face. He attempted a poor attempt to kneel'
"My Lord. It is good to see you again."
Dante chuckled as he looked at him, "Yo you seem to have had a good time"
Elric could only look down at the floor. "I had a time indeed my Lord" Dante merely smiled more as his eyes turned. A little ways ahead stood Vexion. Her body froze as if sensing his gaze. "What a nice ass"
Vexion felt her her body stiffen.
'Master? He's here?'
Her fingers unconsciously tightened around her robes. Slowly she turned around. The moment she saw him, her breathing stopped.
' Why does he look more handsome than I remembered.
Dante chuckled. "No greeting?"
Vexion didn't answer. She simply walked towards him. One step and then another. Her lips slowly formed a pout. Her eyes reddened as a single tear rolled down her cheek.
Dante sighed, smiling as he shook his head and simply opened his arms. "You're such a crybaby."
That was all the invitation she needed. In an instant, so fast that even Elric barely followed the movement, she threw herself into his embrace. Her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. Her face buried itself against his neck. The tears she had been holding back finally escaped.
Dante simply held her. One arm around her waist. The other gently rubbing her back.
'She really is dramatic. She's supposed to be my Number One.' All the while He couldn't help smiling.
Vexion inhaled deeply — his scent, his warmth, his heartbeat, everything she had missed, everything that made her feel safe.
"I deserve a reward," she mumbled into his shoulder.
Dante laughed. "I know."
"A big reward."
"Yes, yes."
"Master."
"Hm?"
"It needs to be a big reward"
"Yea yeah, I know"
"I missed you." Her voice cracked as she pulled closer her arms wrapping tightly. "So much."
Fresh tears soaked into his clothes. Dante smiled helplessly. "It's only been two days."
She looked up at him with tear-filled eyes.
"Of, hell. It's been hell. Being away from you isn't exactly a fun vacation from me Master...Its closer to pain, agonizing pain, a kind I can't describe"
Dante chuckled.
"You've only been training Elric. That should have been enough to take your mind from things"
She frowned immediately.
"You know I don't like being away from you. I never have. I never will. It's been painful. It was hell."
Dante simply laughed again. There really was no helping this woman.
"Master."
"Hm?"
She slowly closed the distance between them. Her cheeks flushed a beautiful crimson. Her eyes gently closed. Dante smiled knowingly. He leaned forward as well, his hands slowly sliding lower until they comfortably rested beneath her hips, a grope of her lucious buttocks, pulling her slightly closer.
Normally that alone would have been enough to leave Vexion flustered beyond words. Today she didn't even react. Nothing else mattered.
Their lips met. Softly. Silently. Neither rushed. Neither deepened it. It was simply home.
Vexion wrapped herself even tighter around him.
'This is where I belong. His arms. His warmth. His scent. No place in this world feels safer than here. No one else will ever have what belongs to him. This is my home.'
Dante simply smiled into the kiss. For someone who claimed to hate troublesome things, he really had attracted perhaps the clingiest woman in existence. And, if he were honest with himself, he didn't dislike it nearly as much as he pretended to.
