Chapter 115 - Qwarian

Vexion gently caressed her own hair as she looked at Dante. Standing up, she walked over to him and quietly began helping him get dressed. Dante noticed but simply allowed her, watching her with a relaxed expression.

As she stood before him, carefully buttoning his shirt, Dante's hands naturally slipped around her waist before settling on her bottom, gently caressing it with slow squeezes.

She blushed, noticing the familiar calm smile on his face.

"Master really is the best."

Dante merely chuckled.

The morning light poured through the windows, bathing the room in a warm glow.

"Waking up in your arms... spending every day with you..." she whispered softly. "I already feel miserable knowing I'll have to spend hours away from you in classes."

Dante laughed quietly.

"Obsession is dangerous, V." She smiled, meeting his eyes. Rising onto her toes, she leaned forward and gave him a gentle kiss.

"Whose fault do you think that is? I didn't choose to become obsessed with you."

Dante chuckled before giving her backside another playful smack.

She let out a surprised yelp before giggling again.

"Stop blaming me for your insanity." Still smiling, she followed him out of the room.

Soon they arrived on the second floor, where Lexa was lazily inspecting her sword while leaning against the wall. Dante looked at her.

"Were we loud?" Lexa frowned. "My Lord... most people begin the morning by saying good morning."

Dante lazily pointed at Vexion. "I'd agree, but she began the morning with my dick in her mouth. Teach her how to say good morning instead."

Lexa released a long sigh. "My Lord... you really need to learn proper social etiquette." Vexion simply greeted Lexa politely.

Lexa returned the greeting with equal respect. Ignoring the lecture, Dante walked ahead with both women following beside him. He yawned loudly.

"Waking up this early should be a crime." Lexa chuckled. Vexion smiled. "You're a Mythical Being. Two hours of sleep should be more than enough, shouldn't it?" Dante slowly swung his head from side to side as though carefully considering the statement.

"If I can still get horny, hungry, and bored...then I can definitely enjoy a ten-hour nap."

This time Lexa didn't even bother responding. Instead, she opened the estate door for Dante before closing it behind them. The protective barrier and locks activated automatically.

Outside, the academy was already far livelier than the previous day. Students filled the walkways in numbers several times greater than before. Using Spatial Body, Dante stepped forward, and the three of them instantly appeared near the lecture district.

As he looked around, countless students moved between the enormous buildings.

Dante couldn't help but smile. 'Campus life, huh?' Large signs pointed toward the different lecture halls while the map displayed through the Academy Bracelet constantly updated their location.

Eventually, the three split apart as they headed toward their respective classes. Dante walked with both hands in his pockets. Several girls offered him polite smiles as they passed.

He simply nodded back with a reserved, gentlemanly smile. A few quietly blushed before continuing on. Soon he entered Skill Theory. Choosing a seat near the back left corner, Dante rested comfortably while watching the classroom gradually fill.

Several students naturally gathered on the far right, small friend groups already beginning to form. 'Strong... weak... potential... worthless... average...No... Maybe... Definitely not.'

One after another, Dante silently categorized every student within sight. Some possessed respectable mana reserves. Others had physiques refined through years of training. A handful carried themselves with enough confidence to suggest they had experienced genuine combat. None managed to hold his attention for very long.

Eventually...Boredom won.

Then—The classroom shrank. Not physically. The walls remained where they were. The students continued talking amongst themselves. And yet...

The space surrounding Dante compressed, as though reality itself had folded inward for a brief moment. His eyes slowly shifted to his left.... Someone had appeared.

The young man looked around Jurian's age.

Human...At least, that was the closest description Dante could manage. He felt human.

Yet... not.

A contradiction that made no sense. The man possessed impossibly handsome features, light brown eyes carrying the faintest golden tint, and short messy hair that framed his face naturally.

His clothing appeared painfully ordinary. Or perhaps... Painfully intentional. A decorated military uniform rested neatly upon his frame. It resembled something a noble general might wear while inspecting troops rather than leading them into battle.

Several medals decorated his chest. Dante couldn't tell whether they represented genuine achievements or were merely ornamental. More strangely...

There wasn't a weapon anywhere on him. No sword. No dagger. Nothing.

Yet everything about him screamed veteran. The strange pressure disappeared as naturally as it had arrived. Without asking permission, the young man casually pulled out the chair beside Dante and sat down.

Dante chuckled. "You're a brave one." The young man smiled. "I was going to say the same thing."

"Oh?"

"You called my name."

Dante rested his chin on one hand. "Knowing your name doesn't suddenly make you dangerous." A brief pause. "...Qwarian."

The young man laughed softly.

"Second time."

"Fourth," Dante corrected. "but its call we can just count the last two." Qwarian blinked before shaking his head with an amused smile.

"You're... certainly different."

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't waste my time." Dante didn't even bother looking at him anymore. "I already have enough to think about."

"You say some interesting things for someone of your pedigree." Dante glanced back. "Pedigree?"

Qwarian coughed lightly. "My apologies. Noble lineage."

"Oh?"

Qwarian raised one finger. "You were born within the Sandrian Empire."

A second finger. "You possess ties to the Empire far beyond ordinary citizenship."

A third. "Information regarding you is... strangely obscured."

He studied Dante for a moment. "But you possess the same eyes as the Grand Concubine of the Sandrian Empire."

He tilted his head. "And... you carry the same presence as the Empire's famous siblings." He shrugged. "I don't know the exact relationship."

"Brother. Relative. Servant. It hardly matters. The connection exists."

His smile widened slightly. "That alone makes you interesting."

For the briefest moment... Dante's expression froze. Almost nobody should know that. The thought lasted less than a heartbeat before disappearing completely.

"So?" He shrugged. "Information only matters if you can use it. If you can't kill me with it...it's worthless."

Qwarian laughed. "A fair argument." Leaning back in his chair, he asked, "May I know why you insisted on saying my name?"

Dante stretched lazily before answering. "I was testing you."

"And?"

Dante paused. "You didn't disappoint...but you weren't particularly impressive either."

Qwarian laughed again. "I've been called many things. That's a new one."

Dante sighed. The conversation was already beginning to bore him.

Without warning— A tiny sphere of condensed mana, barely the size of a fingertip and almost impossible to notice, quietly materialized less than a handspan from Qwarian's face.

Qwarian didn't move. "Violence during class?" He smiled lazily. "What are you? A barbarian?"

The sphere shot forward....

And vanished.

Not blocked.

Not destroyed.

Not reflected. It simply...Stopped existing. Dante stared at the empty space where it had disappeared. Before he could think further, the System interrupted.

[Master.]

'Hmm?' A brief silence followed.

Then the System spoke again, choosing words Dante would immediately understand.

[This individual... does not exhibit the characteristics of an NPC.]
