"It's the weekend, how about we go do something fun?" Hikaru asked.
"Fun? What do you have in mind?" Kenji asked. "Well It so happens that I have a reservation for a little outing" Hikaru said.
"Well spill already, I'm having a migraine just hearing you brag about it" Antonio said.
Hikaru clicks his tongue in frustration. "We're going skydiving"
"Huh?" Kenji asked. "Really?" Melissa asked in excitement. "Yes... We leave by noon" Hikaru said.
"Why would you make such a decision without consulting others?" Kenji asked. "Why ask when I know they'll love the idea"
Melissa turns to Antonio. "Can we go?" She asked. "It depends, do you want to go?" He asked.
"Yes.... I would love to try it. That has been the very first thing on my bucket list" Melissa said. "Alright then we're going" Antonio said.
"Why would that be on your bucket list?" Kenji asked. "I want to know what it's like to have the wind in my hair"
"Wind in your hair? If you wanted that, I could turn on the air-condition" Kenji said.
"Come on don't be a sourpuss. This is going to be fun" Hikaru said.
"pardonne-moi, for not finding me jumping off a helicopter fun" Kenji said.
"It's not just jumping off a helicopter.... It's experiencing the thrill and realizing that there's more to life" Melissa said.
"By jumping off to my death?"
"No one's jumping to their death Kenji.... You're overthinking this. What's the worst that could happen?" Hikaru asked.
"I've got plenty of example. For instance the parachutes malfunction, the helicopter goes haywire and not having enough time to make it down alive" Kenji said.
"Are you saying this because you're scared of height?" Antonio asked. "Me? Scared of height?..... Very.... I am terrified of it" He said.
"Then this is the best way to overcome your fear" Hikaru said.
"I don't have a say in this do I? No matter how hard I try to protest"
"Don't get me wrong, your opinion matters but not in this case" Hikaru said. Kenji groans in frustration. "Fine"
Melissa squealed like a kid. "I'd be in my room, I need to prepare myself mentally" She said as she dashed into her room.
Hours passed, with each passing moment Kenji gave Hikaru a million and one reasons why skydiving was a bad Idea. But Hikaru ever the determined boyfriend didn't listen to him.
Kenji found himself listening to a woman lecturing them on how to wear and deploy the parachute.
"Do you understand?" The guide asked. "Yes I do" Melissa replied enthusiastically.
"Now we go into the chopper" She said. Everyone followed her and they took off in no time.
Flying thousands of feet from the sky, Kenji felt sick. "This is terrible" Kenji said.
"Alrighty, as soon as you jump down pull this handle and you'd be safe" the guide said. "And if the handle doesn't work?" Kenji asked.
"Don't worry, my team and I made sure the parachutes are fully operational" She said.
"Can we go now?" Hikaru asked. "Wait I'm not ready..... I just remembered I haven't fed my plants. Oh well look at the time, it's getting late.... I should probably head home" Kenji said.
Hikaru rolls his eyes impatiently, he eventually pushed Kenji.
Kenji screams in terror "Oh my God..... I'm going to die" Kenji said. "Don't be a scaredy cat" Hikaru said.
"If I don't make it I swear I'm hunting your entire generation" Kenji said. "You mean our generation"
{Back In The Helicopter}
"Are you ready?" The guide asked Antonio and Melissa.
"I was born ready" Melissa said. They both jumped at the same time.
Melissa whooped in excitement. "This is amazing!!"
"Are you enjoying this?" Antonio asked. "Yes..... Woohoo... I feel so alive!!!!" Melissa screamed.
"Alright pull the handle" Hikaru said. Melissa pulled hers but nothing happened.
"No no no no.... Not now. Please not now.... Come on, come on, come on, you piece of..."
"Melissa what's wrong?" Antonio asked. "It's stuck" Melissa said.
She looks down to find Hikaru and Kenji had already deploy theirs. Now she just stares at the ground many feet away.
Antonio dove to Melissa's position. "Grab on!!"
Melissa clung to his neck. Antonio pulls the handle deploying his parachute.
Melissa could only gasp hard for air. "Breathe.... Relax you're safe" Antonio said.
They both landed safely on the ground. "Oh my God!!!! I almost died" Melissa said in disbelief as she touched her face.
Kenji rushed to her. "Melissa are you alright?" He asked. "I almost died..... It didn't work...."
"I knew this was a bad Idea" Kenji said. "That was awesome.... That was the best time of my life" Melissa said.
"Seriously?" Antonio asked. "I was like woohoo and then I was like ahhhhhhhh... My life flashing before my eyes.... Then Antonio saved me..... Let's do it again!!!" Melissa said.
"You must be out of your goddamn mind" Kenji said. Hikaru walked up to them.
"Melissa how are you feeling?" Hikaru asked. "Great..... Can we do it again?" Melissa said.
"Heck no!!!" Antonio said. "Finally someone who actually has common sense" Kenji said.
"What's next on your bucket list? i can make all your dreams come true" Hikaru said.
"I've always wanted to fly a fighters jet" Melissa replied.
"A fighters jet? Why would you want to fly a jet? Let alone a fighters jet? Why don't you have normal bucket lists like a normal girl?" Kenji asked.
"Every girl with their dreams..... Now when are we leaving?" Melissa asked
"I just have to inform my men about the change of plans" Hikaru said. "I am surrounded by a domestic terrorist" Kenji said.
"I'm not surprised" Antonio said.
It took them the entire day to cross out most of Melissa's bucket list.
{Two days later}
The mansion was deserted, not a single soul could be found. Kenji had gone to the movie set, while the others were somewhere top-secret.
Melissa came out of her room wondering why the house was so quiet.
She walked past a wallet on a table, she tried so hard not to touch it but curiosity got the better of her.
Melissa opens the wallet to find a picture.
"How is it possible?" She whispered. Hurried footsteps were heard from behind her.
"Have you seen my wallet? Oh there it is" Hikaru said. "Who's he?" Melissa asked. "That is my younger brother''
"Your brother?" Melissa asked.
''Yeah..... That punk has been in hiding for five years if i'm not mistaken... I pray that each day that passes i get to see him and tell him how sorry i am to have forced such responsibilities on him"
Hikaru exhales a shakey breath.
"He ran away because of me..... If i had stopped and actually listened to how he felt, non of this would ever happen. Well good thing he's still alive.... All I have to do is to drag his ass back here"
Antonio walks into the room. "What's going on?" He asked when he saw Melissa crying.
"It's been five years? Has it been that long?" Melissa asked. "Do you know where he's hiding?" Hikaru asked.
"No.... I don't know where he is" Melissa said. Hikaru knelt before Melissa.
"From my research i know that you're the black raven, which means you know everything about Davin's entire operation. I need to know if Davin has anything to do with Yuko's disappearance" Hikaru said.
"Hikaru i suggest you step back" Antonio said.
"We both know she's the black raven" Hikaru said. "We don't know that!!!!" Antonio said.
"I get it now... The only reason why you've been nice to me is because you wanted to use me" Melissa said to Antonio.
"That's not true Melissa. I would never take advantage of you.... I swear on my life" Antonio said. "I should have known all that glitters isn't gold" Melissa said.
"Don't say that.... I beg of you.... You have to believe me" Antonio said. "I just want to know where my brother is" Hikaru said.
"Shut the fuck up Hikaru" Antonio said. Melissa sat on the floor.
"Nothing would ever change..... People are still as manipulative as ever. They just disguise it and call it help" Melissa place the wallet infront of her.
"Alright then, I think i'd have to start from the begining" Melissa rubs her face in fear.
"You don't have to do this" Antonio said. "Let me tell you the story of how it all started" Melissa said.
