The third day.
The secret chamber was filled with thick, eerie mist, periodically echoing with the wails of ghosts and gods.
In the center of the swirling fog was a white-robed Taoist.
The Taoist held his breath and focused, as moonlight subtly formed around his breaths, his palms pressed together towards the heavens, holding a jade seal.
The jade seal emitted a white light that flickered like it was alive, breathing. On its surface were inscribed the names Donghua Great God and Temple Emperor.
Around him stood countless Rampant Soldiers.
The mist coalesced further, forming a handsome young lord with a jade face clad in golden armor, holding a treasure-carved bow. Beside him stood a hunting dog, and on his shoulder perched an iron-beaked eagle with a third eye on its forehead.
The Erlang God opened his eyes, noticing Song Lin staring at him as well, and knelt on one knee: "Greetings, Altar Master."
"You still remember me?" Song Lin was amazed.
