Chapter 47 - Chapter 46: Great Organization

The girls left one after another, and Leon turned back to look at Natasha and her sister, who was trying to slip away unnoticed.

From the moment Leon spoke his first sentence in Russian, Yelena's expression turned awkward. She had assumed Superman only spoke English and perhaps a bit of Chinese, but she never expected him to be fluent in Russian as well.

She had thought that, upon regaining her freedom, she would have a fresh start in life. Instead, she had stumbled into her first social blunder. Right now, all Yelena wanted was to roll on the ground and disappear.

As she attempted to quietly leave, Leon stopped her.

"Natasha, Yelena, stay here."

Natasha complied without hesitation, but Yelena stiffened and pointed at herself with a forced smile. "Me too?"

"I think so." Leon nodded, smiling.

He deliberately puffed out his chest. "You were just talking about my muscles, so I figured I should give you a chance."

"Huh?" Yelena took a step back, hesitating before extending her right hand. "So... can I touch them?"

Natasha's expression darkened, and she promptly smacked Yelena on the back of her head. "What are you thinking about after just waking up?"

Holding her head in mock pain, Yelena pouted. "The boss said he'd give me a chance..."

She naturally placed herself in the role of Leon's subordinate. He shook his head, speechless. How did a girl her age come up with so many bizarre ideas?

Turning to the screen, he said, "Jarvis, send the information on Widow agents scattered around the world to these two."

"Understood."

Natasha and Yelena moved behind Leon, their eyes scanning the profiles displayed on the screen. They quickly understood why he had called them.

"You want us to lead the other Widows?" Natasha asked.

"Exactly." Leon nodded. "Yelena, both you and Natasha, as the two successive Black Widows, are the most suitable leaders."

"Wait—Black Widow? But I'm not..." Yelena touched the back of her head, confused.

"You're not?" Leon was taken aback.

In the original timeline, Yelena had surpassed Natasha's records and become the next Black Widow. He hadn't expected things to turn out differently here.

Natasha smirked. "She was about to take the title, but I broke those records again a year ago."

Leon immediately realized this was another ripple effect of his actions.

"Thanks for the 'gift'! No wonder my training regimen doubled! Do you know I almost died?" Yelena clutched her hair in frustration.

She lunged forward, trying to tackle Natasha, but was quickly overpowered.

"Leon, ignore her. Just tell me what you need us to do," Natasha said, effortlessly pinning her sister down.

"...Once things here are settled, you'll lead the others to rescue the Widows marked on this map."

"After administering the inhibitors, give them a choice."

"Those who are willing to join will be brought to me. Those who refuse will have their files erased."

"Understood. I'll complete the task as soon as possible." Natasha nodded, gratitude flickering in her eyes.

Her greatest wish had always been to give the Widow agents a chance at real lives. Now, thanks to Leon, that dream was becoming reality. She felt more indebted to him than ever.

Leon placed his hands on the table. "But this is just the beginning. Once this is done, I'll have an even more important mission for you."

"Boss, what's the mission? Are we saving the world? Fighting some evil dark forces?" Yelena exclaimed excitedly, still pinned under Natasha.

"Shut up!" Natasha twisted her sister's arm, making her yelp in defeat.

"Boss, save me! Natasha is bullying me just because she's older!" Yelena whined dramatically.

Leon's eyelid twitched. Why didn't he remember Yelena being this hyperactive in the movies?

"How old is she?" he asked Natasha, raising an eyebrow.

"Born in 1988. She's twenty," Natasha answered immediately.

"She's older than me?" Leon was speechless and promptly ignored Yelena.

This girl must have been caged for too long. Now that she was free, her excitement was getting out of hand.

"Boss, don't ignore me! Look at me! Natasha bullies me just because she's four years older! She—ah!" Yelena's complaint was cut short as Natasha punished her again.

She gave Leon a pitiful look, but he only turned away mercilessly.

Natasha sighed. "Can't you just tell us what the mission is?"

"It's simple," Leon replied. "The Widow agents will spread some crucial evidence through their networks."

His face was reflected in the screen's faint glow. "Evidence proving that an evil organization, one thought to be eradicated, still exists and has taken root in the world."

Natasha's eyes widened. "Which organization?"

"Hydra."

"Hydra? The one Captain America destroyed? It still exists?! Oh my God, are we really saving the world? That's so cool!" Yelena chimed in again.

Natasha, however, remained silent, staring intently at Leon, waiting for more details.

Leon smirked. "You've heard of an organization called S.H.I.E.L.D., right?"

For the next few minutes, he explained Hydra's infiltration and resurrection within S.H.I.E.L.D. The sisters were left in shock.

They had once believed that the Red Room was the most insidious and dangerous organization in the world. But now, they realized there was always something worse lurking beneath the surface.

Hydra had managed to take over S.H.I.E.L.D. from within.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. is the real cancer of this world!" Natasha spat, disgust evident in her voice.

Leon could barely hold back a grin. The irony was too much—Natasha, one of Fury's most trusted agents in the movies, was now cursing S.H.I.E.L.D. outright.

He resisted the urge to burst out laughing. Ahem, he was still in the Superman suit—he had to maintain some dignity. He could laugh about it later, in private.

Soon after, Natasha and Yelena left the command room. Their expressions were vastly different.

Natasha looked solemn but determined. She had long believed her hands were stained with too much blood. If she could save lives and make amends, she would do so—even at the cost of her own.

Yelena, on the other hand, was practically bouncing with excitement, rambling on about becoming a great hero.

Regardless of their reactions, one thing was clear to both of them:

The organization Leon was forming would be a powerful force—one that worked in the shadows to serve the light.

However, if Leon could hear their thoughts, he would probably slap the table laughing.

After all, his real reason for forming this organization was simply to ensure the Widow agents worked efficiently under him.
