ZEIN
"Zein. Zein? Are you awake?"
Someone is shaking me, and I open my eyes, my body automatically sitting up as I grab the person touching me.
"Zein … you are hurting me."
Josie? What- what is she doing on my lap? I frown, brain still half awake, and as I look at the woman on my lap, looking at me with wide eyes. Her fingers are gripping my shoulders. Not enough to hurt, but enough to get even more confused.
She is straddling me.
"Can you- can you let me go now? Please?" she asks in a meek, scared voice, and that snaps me into action. I dump her onto the couch next to me before I shoot up from it, looking around.
"Uh, sorry," I look around the room. Right, I was here in my rest area, after a rather long session in the studio. I am in the company building, and Josie is here with me. "How long did I sleep?"
She fixes her skirt, looking down, and even from this angle, I can see she is very flushed. "Around three hours?"
