"No, they didn't," I deny. "Where would they sneak out to go? The trees?"
"There is a town they went to, Jude told me the following day when I saw his piercing. Anyway, that's better than when I am thirsty and I have to take my water, but they are cooking and I cannot access the kitchen as they get their midnight snacks or cooking. They will stay here talking for like an hour before going back to their floor."
"What are you talking about?"
"Before they made their nightly routines to go out? They were always here in the kitchen. It was a bummer to me, and I had to have water in my room even though I don't like that. At least now I can go about my nightly routine, and no one is in the way of another."
