"What did you want to get at the supermarket?"
Miko cages me with his arms as he pushes the cart, hands on top of mine. I am stumped at first, before I look around us and notice that no one is paying us attention. Still.
"What are you doing?" I ask, trying to get out of his hold, but he doesn't let me go. Instead, he puts his chin on my shoulder as we walk. It is not a comfortable position to be in, emotionally and physically.
On one hand, I am melting, wanting to press behind him and even hold his hand, and on the other hand, I want to flinch back from him, afraid that someone will see us and get the wrong idea.
But what is the right idea here?
We indeed are, being touchy and ignorant of the fact that this is more than friendly. So if people saw us, they would assume right, and that's what is scaring me right now.
