Chapter 172. Elysia Will Help You~
Warmth.
Comfort.
As if lying on extra-soft toast that still held its residual heat, with a faint milky fragrance at the tip of his nose.
In the early morning, as Xander Masato's consciousness woke from sleep, his body and cheek experienced a sensation one could easily get addicted to.
His thoughts were still hazy.
By instinct, he tightened his arms a little.
His cheek rubbed against the surface of the "bread" without thinking.
Slippery and soft.
He stuck out his tongue and licked twice, then naturally took something into his mouth.
"Ah..."
A small, delicate moan escaped Elysia's lips. Her body trembled slightly, then she hugged Xander's head, a gentle expression appearing on her face.
"Good morning, Xander?~"
A pleasant, melodious voice sounded by his ear, and Xander's awareness gradually cleared.
"Being this naughty first thing in the morning.
But, looking at you like this, you're just like a little baby~"
Elysia lowered her head.
Her fingertip gently tapped Xander's cheek.
Feeling the soft, springy response, she chuckled with a slightly dopey kind of happiness.
"Aiya, how about trying to call me mama!"
Teeth gently clamped down. Elysia immediately arched her body, hugging Xander Masato's head tightly.
Several seconds later, she finally let out a somewhat ragged breath, her face slightly flushed as she looked at Masato, a hint of charm coloring her reproachful expression.
"Xander, bad!"
Receiving a light bonk on the head, Xander didn't mind.
After letting go, he buried his face again in that warm, plush softness and lightly breathed in the sweet scent at his nose.
Sensing the boy in her arms clinging to her, Elysia couldn't hide the smile at the corners of her lips.
Her fingers slid over that firm back.
She spoke softly.
"How did you sleep last night?"
"Very comfortably."
In fact, he had rarely slept this comfortably.
From being the one who gave hugs to becoming the one who received them, he suddenly understood why Seele and Ducky loved being held by him to sleep.
This warmth that wrapped the body brought a deep sense of security—especially when it was the broad embrace of someone like Elysia.
He slept soundly and at ease.
"That's good~"
Outside, daylight was already bright.
The morning sun shone through the floor-to-ceiling windows, making the room quite luminous.
Xander opened his eyes, nuzzling against Elysia's front.
He turned his gaze toward the clock on the wall.
Noticing the hour hand resting between eight and nine, his drowsiness made him snuggle back down and mumble softly.
"So I slept for that long, huh."
"No rush.
Everyone else hasn't gotten up yet~"
"Everyone?
Oh, right.
They were playing games in the living room last night..."
If that's the case, then it should be fine for him to enjoy this a little longer, right?
He closed his eyes and nestled into Elysia's arms again—until her hand slowly sliding downward made him open his eyes once more.
"Elysia?"
He lifted his head.
His voice was a bit dry.
Elysia simply pecked the corner of his lips, then those soft lips drew close to his ear.
Her breath was warm.
A tender whisper sounded.
"Although it's just a normal physiological reaction for a boy in the morning, it must be quite uncomfortable, right?"
A soft, alluring laugh made Xander's heart pick up pace at once.
"So, does Xander need big sister Elysia's help?"
...
So flexible... wait no, so soft.
Having failed to solve the ultimate question of the universe, Xander was pulled along by Elysia to the bathroom.
He gently scrubbed that sleek pink hair.
Then he lathered up that body he found so mesmerizing with a thick, white layer of foam.
After rinsing off, he was again pulled by Elysia to snuggle together in the bathtub for a good while, hearts pressed close just like their skin.
When the clock pointed to ten, Xander led Elysia out of the bathroom, sat her at the vanity to blow-dry her hair, and then tucked the now-sleepy her back into bed.
Elysia had probably not rested much last night.
In the bath just now she had been leaning against him, yawning again and again.
He tucked the blanket in for Elysia.
Watching her close her eyes, Xander tiptoed out of the bedroom.
Even though it was almost noon, the living room remained quiet.
Padding close in slippers to the side of the sofa, Xander soon noticed several girls sprawled all over it.
The table was a mess, scattered with cards.
Beside it lay an unfolded Monopoly board, many little green houses still lying quietly on the map.
Seele, Bronya, and Kaguya were squeezed together, leaning on each other on the sofa.
A single blanket was casually draped over them.
Head against head, shoulder against shoulder, they slept soundly.
Compared to the peaceful scene on that side, Kiana and Sirin's sleeping postures on the other side were much less elegant.
Especially Kiana.
She was fully stretched out on the sofa, one long fair leg sticking out from her nightgown, propped straight up against the backrest.
Her hem had slid from her thigh all the way down to her taut, slender waist, revealing the cute kitty-pattern underwear beneath.
Kiana's legs might not have the plumpness Xander most liked in Bronya and Elysia, but that supple waist was absolutely the most outstandingly alluring he had ever seen.
Clearly as delicate and slim as a tender branch, yet it contained unimaginable flexibility and explosive power.
If he could put both hands on that waist...
Brother, you smell nice.
Realizing he had just had improper thoughts about his good bro, Xander quickly shook his head to scatter the stray thoughts.
After a light cough, he carefully put Kiana's leg down and pulled a blanket over her to cover the beautiful scenery.
Sirin, next to her, was rather pitiful.
Kiana had basically occupied the whole sofa.
Squeezed into the corner, Sirin curled up like a little cat.
Even like this, Kiana's foot was still almost pressing into Sirin's face.
It was obvious the blankets on them weren't self-served.
Just as Xander was looking around for Mei's whereabouts, a bedroom door not far away opened.
Her long black hair hung loose at will.
Even a loose home dress couldn't hide the alluring curves of her figure.
She stepped softly across the carpet and, noticing Xander in the living room, gave him a gentle smile.
Without speaking, Xander waved to her.
Soon, the two of them went to the relatively spacious balcony one after the other and sat on the lounge chairs.
There was a small round table between the chairs.
A tray on it held lots of little pastries.
Xander, who was just a bit hungry, casually grabbed one to eat.
"When did you all turn in yesterday?"
He ate while asking casually.
"Mm… a little after five.
No, wait, maybe it was six?"
Mei furrowed her brows, uncertain.
"So late?
Why don't you sleep more—can your body handle it?"
"Thanks for the concern.
But four-plus hours is plenty—huh~"
She couldn't help a yawn before finishing the sentence.
Noticing Xander's teasing look, she flushed, a little embarrassed.
A few strands of hair fell across her forehead with her movement.
Mei lifted her chin, raised those long, slender fingers, gathered the fringe with an index finger, and tucked it behind her ear in an elegant motion, showing Xander her jade-like slender neck, fair graceful skin, and collarbone under the light.
"Alright then.
But still, be sure to rest more."
Courtesy demands restraint.
Xander only glanced once before looking away.
The balcony air quieted quickly, leaving just the faint sounds of him eating.
After a while, when Xander turned back intending to ask about last night, he found that at some point Mei had already fallen asleep, slumped over the table.
His question stuck in his throat.
Xander chuckled softly, fetched a stray blanket from the sofa, came back, and lightly covered Mei.
Yawns might really be contagious.
No sooner had he tucked Mei in than he himself yawned, a trace of drowsiness rising in his mind.
Thinking for a moment, he turned and went back to the bedroom.
It was still early.
He would go hold the soft, fragrant fairy lady and sleep a bit more.
...
"Ah!!!! I was just a little bit short!!!!"
"Heh heh, Sirin, I'm the final winner!!"
Awakened by the racket, Xander slowly opened his eyes.
He glanced at the clock, which had passed one o'clock, yawned, and reflexively felt to the side.
The slightly sunken bedsheet still held a trace of warmth, but the fairy lady was nowhere to be found.
Propping himself up to sit, Xander rubbed his eyes and got out of bed.
The bedroom door wasn't closed tight.
Kiana and Sirin's noisy voices slipped in easily.
He walked out and ran into Seele, who was just about to come in.
"Ah, big brother, you're awake?"
Seeing him, Seele gave an abashed smile.
Leaving big brother alone in the room yesterday made her feel somewhat guilty.
"Mm."
He hugged her tight without warning to Seele's little gasp, lowered his face into her lightly fragrant hair, and inhaled deeply.
"Ah, Seele's scent.
I'm alive again~"
"Big brother!!"
Everyone's watching!
Her token, feeble struggle wasn't so much resistance as it was coyness.
It made the not-so-present desire in Xander quickly rise into a playful urge to tease her.
Unfortunately, now wasn't a good time.
After enjoying her scent for a moment, he let go.
Back in the living room, several boxes of pizza sat on the table.
Everyone ate while chattering noisily.
Xander picked up a slice and plopped down beside Bronya.
"Why are you getting up this late too?"
Bronya was eating as well.
She looked over and asked curiously.
"I woke up once in the morning, but you were all sleeping, so I went back and took another nap."
He glanced around, then continued.
"Where's Elysia?"
No sooner had he said it than the door of the nearest bathroom opened.
Humming, Elysia came out smiling and happily sat down beside Xander.
"Aiya, did Xander miss me?"
Hugging his arm, Elysia teased.
"We'd only just been apart for a bit.
You really are becoming a little kid~"
Seeing the meaningful look in her eyes, Xander couldn't help recalling the morning image—one hand holding his head to her chest while the other hand up and down...
With a slight adjustment, it was that classic scene of a big truck rolling over a child.
He reached out and stuffed the half-eaten pizza into her mouth to keep Elysia from continuing to make him her toy.
Bronya on the other side eyed them suspiciously.
Something felt off.
Shifting his gaze to Kiana—who was holding her head high like a triumphant rooster—Xander grabbed another slice and asked offhandedly, "Looks like Kiana won last night?"
"Mm..."
Thinking of it, Bronya looked a little helpless.
She sighed and griped.
"That kind of luck is a bit cheating, isn't it?"
At the end, Kiana basically crushed the rest of them alone.
There was no "game experience" to speak of.
"What 'luck'?
That was skill.
Skill, okay!"
Hearing Bronya's complaint, Kiana puffed her cheeks in protest, brimming with pride.
"Alright, alright.
You've got skill, fine."
She couldn't be bothered to argue with this herrscher of lawn slippers, lest her IQ be dragged down to the same level.
"Tomorrow morning's flight?" Xander asked.
"Mm.
Do you still have medicine left?" Bronya asked back.
"Seele prepared it all for me.
I'm more or less used to it now.
After taking it, it's no longer as uncomfortable as before."
"That's good."
She nodded.
After finishing her slice, Bronya wiped her mouth and lazily leaned against him.
"Any plans today?"
"Nope."
"Then what do we do?"
"Don't know."
"..."
Listening to the two by her side trade these content-free lines, Elysia blinked, then raised her hand.
"Xander, you're sure you haven't forgotten something?"
"Forgotten what?"
He turned his head, eyes a bit blank.
Elysia spoke in a low, drifting voice.
"Griseo.
Xander, you forgot you promised to go pick her up."
"..."
Crap.
He really had forgotten.
—
"If Mr. Knight is willing to be my model, then I'll forgive you!"
Because he forgot to pick up Griseo—spoiling her anticipated plan to host everyone—Griseo puffed her cheeks and kept a huffy face at Xander even after finally meeting up.
When they got home, after Xander held Griseo and was her "stool" for several hours of drawing, she finally set down her stylus and spoke with a touch of small, proud tsundere in her voice.
Xander naturally wouldn't refuse such a small request, and they set the time for the weekend.
Apex was already live.
Busy with post-launch issues and the prep for a fun invitational, time flashed by and it was the weekend in a blink.
That day, Griseo got up very early.
After hastily eating breakfast, she hurried back to her bedroom.
She picked through her wardrobe and changed into a cute little dress—blue-and-white with cloud patterns.
She deliberately let her long sky-blue hair fall loose, waiting for the person who would come help brush it later.
She looked at the soft white stockings in the drawer, picked them up, thought for a moment, then put them back.
She also took off her shoes, leaving her bare little feet on the floor.
She remembered that Mr. Knight liked staring at her bare feet.
Although that made her feel a bit shy, since Mr. Knight was willing to indulge her whims today, she would make him happy too.
She cleared a space on the floor and dragged her easel with effort to the side.
Next to it she set up a stand and put a camera from a drawer on top.
Brushes, check.
Paint, check.
Paper, check.
Camera battery, check.
Memory card, check...
She checked each item she would need today.
After confirming everything, Griseo wiped the light sweat from her forehead and exhaled in relief.
She sat on the bed to rest for a moment, lifted her brows to check the time, and thought Mr. Knight should be about to arrive.
She couldn't help feeling expectant, and even her pale little feet swayed lightly.
Just then, her heel knocked into something hard.
Her tender sole couldn't take such an assault and flushed red in one spot.
Griseo grabbed her foot in pain, eyes welling.
"Ow!"
After rubbing her foot for a while, she got off the bed once the pain faded and bent down to look under it in confusion.
The space under the bed should be empty.
What could she have knocked into...
A pile of scattered books lay on the floor, kicked askew.
Seeing the covers, heat rushed to Griseo's head.
Oh no.
She had forgotten to hide the "books" she had drawn!!!
Not only the ones she and Sagiri drew together, but also lots of "study materials" Sagiri had mailed her.
If Mr. Knight saw those...
Just imagining it made Griseo's head spin and her face burn.
No, she had to quickly—
Knock, knock, knock.
According to Murphy's law, the more you don't want something to happen, the more it will.
Just as Griseo was praying that Mr. Knight wouldn't arrive right now, a knock sounded at the door.
...
"I won't be going shopping with you all today.
I promised to be Griseo's model and keep her company while she draws."
Waving, Xander saw the group of girls all dolled up and sent them out.
"We're going to buy underwear.
We weren't planning to ask you anyway!"
Hands on hips, Kiana shot back immediately.
She wore high-waisted jeans today with a white tweed-style cropped jacket up top—youthful and brimming with energy.
But it did look like Mei had helped coordinate it; a mere Kiana didn't have that kind of fashion sense.
"Kiana!"
Mei shot her a look, tugging her arm in embarrassment.
Xander was, after all, the opposite sex.
Saying something like that directly made Mei feel quite shy.
"What about it?
Look at everyone else around us."
Pointing at Seele and the others—who showed no reaction at all—Kiana spread her hands casually.
"Eh?"
Looking around and seeing she seemed to be the only one embarrassed, Mei wondered if the problem was hers.
No, no, no!
Mei shook her head quickly, almost getting tangled in Kiana's logic.
Aside from the two of them, everyone else's relationship with Xander was already ambiguous to begin with!
"Alright, alright, let's go.
If we're late, the place will be packed."
Sirin checked the time and urged them on.
"Mm, then big brother, we're off~"
"Keep an eye on the house," Bronya said with a smile, giving a little wave.
"What am I, a puppy?" Xander joked.
Bronya's brows arced.
She smiled with pressed lips.
"Want me to buy you a collar?"
"Get lost.
If anyone's wearing one, it should be you—"
His words jammed.
A memory flashed—last night Bronya really had worn one herself, even crawling with the leash in her mouth to deliver it into his hand.
He looked up and met Bronya's teasing eyes.
Xander's gaze drifted.
The duck was getting more and more adventurous lately...
"Husband, I am heading out as well."
"Mm.
Safe travels."
Elysia was last to leave.
As she closed the door, she suddenly leaned her head back in and gave him a playful wink, smiling with her eyes.
"I'll send you pictures later.
Be sure to give me serious feedback, Xander~"
She licked her lips, her voice loaded with implication.
"After all, you'll be the one untying them in the end~"
Bang—the door closed.
For such behavior—flirt and flee—Xander issued a stern condemnation in his heart, planning to severely "criticize" her once the photos came in.
After calming the slight restlessness inside, Xander changed into a loose shirt per Griseo's request, slipped on his slippers, and headed upstairs.
At Griseo's door, he knocked a few times.
Because he had been given prior permission, he directly turned the knob and entered.
"Griseo, I'm coming in~"
He opened the door with a smile and quickly noticed Griseo sitting stiffly at the bedside.
She had changed into a pretty little dress.
Her legs were pressed together tautly.
Her sweet little feet crossed over each other, dainty toes painted blue fidgeting cutely.
Her hands rested primly on her thighs, and she stared at him without blinking.
"What's wrong?"
He asked, puzzled.
But noticing her outfit, Xander smiled and praised her.
"Little Griseo's clothes are very cute today~"
"Mm."
She nodded stiffly.
As Xander approached, Griseo hopped off the bed.
Her smooth soles on the wooden floor made a crisp little slap.
She trotted to Xander's side and took his arm.
"Brush my hair."
Pointing to her loose hair, Griseo looked at him and spoke.
"Sure.
No problem."
He had the whole day set aside to keep Griseo company today.
Whatever she wanted to do was fine by him.
Positioning him so he couldn't see the dead angle under the bed, she led him to the vanity and soon sat obediently.
"Wait."
Xander picked up the comb and was about to set it on Griseo's hair when she whispered, then fished out a tablet from the table and quickly started a video call.
A few seconds later, the other side connected.
A little girl with long silver-white hair and snow-pale skin appeared on the screen.
"Grise—"
"Eromanga-sensei No. 2.
Call me Star Painter!"
Griseo's little face turned serious as she addressed Izumi Sagiri on the screen.
"I—I don't know anyone by that name... okay, Star Painter."
Hearing her pen name, Griseo's cheeks turned rosy, and she nodded in satisfaction.
Is this some special form of chūni?
Standing behind Griseo, Xander rubbed his chin in thought.
"Hi, boss!"
Seeing Xander behind Griseo, Sagiri greeted him happily.
This was the benefactor who had saved her and her mother from a tight spot.
Sagiri wasn't the ungrateful type.
"Good morning, Sagiri~"
Xander waved with a smile and started carefully working on Griseo's long hair.
The girl's hair was dense and abundant, and it felt very smooth to the touch—enough to make many programmers jealous.
Xander's hands were gentle.
He seriously applied the techniques he had polished over more than ten years on Seele and Ducky.
Soon, Griseo lost interest in chatting with Sagiri, squinting and grinning as she enjoyed herself.
For some reason, watching this made Sagiri blush deeper and deeper, until she couldn't help scribbling on her tablet.
Unfortunately, he couldn't see what Sagiri was drawing.
After a short while, a delicate set of twin tails was freshly done.
Looking at the newly boosted cuteness of little Griseo, Xander nodded with satisfaction.
"Okay, Griseo, time to get up."
"Ah?
Oh..."
Her eyes flashed with deep reluctance, but Griseo still stood obediently.
She hadn't expected having Mr. Knight brush her hair would feel so comfortable.
Griseo now had a new life goal.
Fortunately, she hadn't forgotten the business of the day.
She pulled Xander over to the cleared space and even brought a little square stool for him to sit on.
Following the principle that the most dangerous place is the safest, Griseo placed the stool right by the bed—just enough to block the pile of "materials."
Then, Xander watched Griseo set up the camera, lay out paper, and arrange the paints where she could reach them.
On the other side, Sagiri also looked ready to go.
"Do I need to sit here and not move?"
"Mm… it's okay if you move a little."
With that, Griseo's expression turned serious.
She picked up her brush and began carefully measuring Xander with her eyes and hand.
After a long while of this, Xander—somewhat bored—asked curiously, "Why did you suddenly want me as a model, Griseo?"
While silently calculating distances on the paper, Griseo answered instinctively, "Because I don't really understand the structure of the male body, so it doesn't come out well when I draw."
Figure structure, huh.
That's indeed important.
Although he hadn't put pen to tablet in a while, he used to be a veteran artist who had kept many a young man up at night.
"Couldn't you just search online for that sort of thing?"
There should be plenty of those references online.
That was how he learned anatomy back then.
As for how—no need to elaborate.
Perhaps because her working memory was too occupied, Griseo replied without thinking, "I don't want to look at other men—no, nothing!!!"
Halfway through, she realized and quickly hid behind the drawing board, red-faced and silent.
To be honest, the sudden answer made Xander freeze as well.
It wasn't that he disliked being treated specially by Griseo; it was just…
Looking at the tiny figure that was Griseo, Xander truly had no stray thoughts.
Nor did he dare have any.
Sagiri quietly widened her eyes, looking at Griseo in disbelief.
So her dear friend actually had those feelings for the boss?!
Perhaps stirred by that one line, neither Xander nor Griseo spoke again.
She quickly pressed down her shyness and immersed herself in the world of painting.
You had to hand it to Griseo—the "little painter" Cocolia had praised as gifted.
There was indeed a reason she had become known at such a young age.
While drawing, those violet eyes seemed to admit nothing else.
In her field of view there was only the paper and the subject to be drawn.
That focus was startling.
Xander marveled inwardly and tried hard to keep still so as not to disturb her.
After who knows how long, Xander noticed a slight frustration on Griseo's face.
Even her brows knit as she looked at him.
What was wrong?
Just as he wondered, Griseo walked toward him.
"No good.
I can't see clearly like this."
"Can't see—what—"
Before Xander could finish the sentence, he watched in surprise as Griseo's little hand undid the first button at his collar.
A girlish fragrance flowed past his nose and left him blank for a moment.
"Wait, Griseo, you—"
"Let me look at the muscle structure of the body."
Her voice was light, with no extra tone.
That calm stance made Xander wonder if it was his thoughts that were dirty.
Of course, studying the human body required a deep understanding of structure and muscle groups.
And there were many differences between men and women.
It made sense for Griseo to want a look.
So, this was all for study?
Thinking so, Xander simply relaxed and let Griseo's small hands work.
Very soon, the second, the third—until the last button came undone.
No wonder Griseo had asked him to change into a shirt.
She had planned this from the start?
He felt his shirt lifted on both sides, and a pair of warm little hands touched his body.
From neck, to collarbone, to chest, then down to the abs.
Griseo's movements were gentle.
But Xander still wished she would use a bit more force—otherwise this feather-light touch was too much like how Bronya teased him at night, which was somewhat torturous.
As she touched him, Griseo muttered under her breath.
It seemed she really was studying—wait, why is your face red!
At the beginning she had been carefully studying.
But Xander noticed Griseo's face growing redder and redder.
She leaned closer and closer, until she was nearly pressing her face to his abs, panting in heavy breaths.
This—this wasn't right, was it?
"Griseo?"
No response.
Her hands kept moving.
"Griseo!!"
He raised his voice slightly and patted her shoulder.
Griseo's body jolted.
She lifted her head in a daze, as if escaping some unknown state, and scooted back in a flash, then dashed to her easel, face scarlet.
"That... that was just for research."
Dozens of seconds later, Griseo's voice, as faint as a mosquito's buzz, slowly sounded.
"Mm.
Just study."
Xander nodded in affirmation.
Even if there were anything else—it was study!
He could pretend nothing had happened, but Griseo felt like she was about to explode.
W-what had she just done to Mr. Knight!!!
Touching and touching was bad enough, but she had even made such shameful sounds—uwu...
Still, Mr. Knight's body felt firm and warm to the touch.
She wanted to—no!
Stop thinking!!!!
Shaking her little head, Griseo hurriedly forced her gaze back to the paper.
Yet what she could usually focus on quickly suddenly became hard to concentrate on now.
From time to time, she would steal a peek at Mr. Knight.
Just one glance and she would shrink back at once, her little face red again and again, her mind a mess.
So much so that it took her more than an hour longer than usual to finish.
"Done?"
Seeing her put down the brush, Xander asked.
"Mm," Griseo nodded.
"I'm done too!" Sagiri said from the screen.
She had feasted her eyes today.
Who would've thought the soft and gooey Griseo would be so bold?
Just that little stretch of interaction made Sagiri cry out—was this really free to watch?!
And just like that—she had inspiration for her next Comiket book!
A forbidden romance between knight and princess.
A tall knight and a petite princess—but in truth, it was the princess who was on the offensive, guhehe…
Leaving the fantasizing Sagiri aside, Griseo saw Xander leaning in to look and immediately stepped across to block him.
"N-no looking!"
"Why?"
"Be… because… anyway, you can't look."
"Alright, alright."
Facing Griseo's stubborn little eyes, Xander could only give up.
Seeing Mr. Knight step back, Griseo let out a quiet breath.
Looking at her paper, a sudden urge to destroy it welled up.
Her head had gone foggy earlier—how had she subconsciously added her imagined scene onto it...
Feeling shy, Griseo looked back to Mr. Knight—only to widen her eyes in horror at the scene before her.
Xander bent down to move the little stool back.
But right then, he noticed a stack of books beside the stool?
Had they fallen on the floor?
"Griseo, why is there—mmph!!!!"
A massive impact struck his waist.
Xander lost his balance and toppled to the floor.
Before he could rub his aching side, another force hit him in the stomach.
"Urk!"
Having pounced on him, Griseo couldn't keep her footing and plopped down on him, doing a number on him for the second time.
"I—I'm sorry, Mr. Knight!!"
Griseo was both flustered and mortified.
Seeing Mr. Knight in pain made her guilt spiral.
Her brain was a scrambled mess.
Then she suddenly recalled a method her mom had once used on her.
By instinct, her body moved instinctively.
Xander, after taking a deep breath, felt a bit better.
But when he opened his eyes, a cute little face came right at him.
Chu~
A sweet kiss landed on his cheek.
"Ah?"
"Eh?"
Xander froze for the umpteenth time today.
Griseo, too, went blank.
As Griseo realized what she had just done, an unprecedented heat flooded her mind all at once.
At that moment, her battered consciousness finally crashed.
Xander, hand on his cheek, looked at the dazed Griseo lying on top of him.
Silence fell over the room.
...
Night.
Bedroom.
"I prevented a crime today."
Bronya—having changed into the new underwear she bought and just about to test whether it increased attack speed—heard that and asked with interest, "Oh?
How did you manage that?"
"With my unwavering willpower."
Xander spoke with solemn certainty.
