Ryu said, "Please don't go full Ultron on me…"
"… I'm going to call it [BattleBot Mark-I]."
The battlefield had gone silent. Everyone stared at the android and its creator.
The man beside the leader said, "The creation of an actual working construct within a dreamscape requires immense concentration and years of dedicated training…. The boy created it without any difficulty."
The leader's Byakugan remained fixed on Ryu and the android. "That alone is not enough reason to praise him. Only what is physically possible in the real world can be created here. We are not omnipotent in this dreamlike world. The rules of reality still apply. It's important to have practical knowledge when building something here; otherwise, it will just be a showpiece. We'll have to wait and see if that's the case."
But who was Ryu, really? A person who practically lives half his day in a mind palace. Someone who spent a previous lifetime creating biosynthetic organs and artificial limbs, even reconstructing an eye from biological principles. He understood anatomy at the cellular level—knew how neurons fired, how muscles contracted, and how sensory organs processed information. The only thing he'd never fully replicated was the brain itself but he knew the structure and microbiology of the brain too... enough to the level that he could try to replicate it.
Also, in this life, he had something his previous existence lacked: Fuinjutsu.
Ryu stepped beside the android, studying it carefully. He focused his will, sending a mental command.
The android's leg twitched. It took one step—then its knee buckled.
The android pitched forward, falling face-first into the white ground with a dull thud, its ass pointing upwards.
Silence.
Ryu stared at it for a moment, mouth open in surprise and eyes twitching in embarrassment.
"Well, that was embarrassing," Ryu said flatly.
The man near byakugan user let out a short laugh. "Perhaps we judged the boy too soon."
Ryu knelt beside the collapsed android, placing both hands on its back. The seals flared brighter beneath his palms.
Ryu deduced, "It cannot think on its own. Fine… I will do it myself."
- [Parallel Thinking] activated
His mind split into multiple streams of thought. One thread analysed the construct's structural integrity. Another mapped the seal patterns across its body.
- [Fast Thinking] activated
Time seemed to slow. Every detail sharpened—the way the seals connected, the flow of chakra through the construct's limbs, the mental architecture holding it together.
"I need to control it like a robot… it is not self-aware enough yet to walk on its own… I need a control signal…" Ryu thought.
Ryu's gaze dropped to the [Magno-Telekinesis Seal] inscribed on his forearms—a paired seal designed to generate and manipulate magnetic fields.
"Electromagnetic signals. I can modulate the frequencies—send instructions directly through electromagnetic waves."
- [Temporary Enhance] running on [Fast Thinking] and [Parallel Thinking]
- [Overclocking] enabled
He pressed his palm firmly against the android's back, making minor adjustments to its body structure, establishing a transceiver link between his seal and the android's internal neural network. Then, he modified the seal's structure to establish processing of signals received and translating them into the body movements. The data he had from Souji's version of the [BodyGPT seal] helped him. The modification took only seconds—his understanding of electromagnetic principles from his previous life combined with fuinjutsu made it almost effortless.
Once the connection was established, he activated the seal. Controlled pulses of electromagnetic energy radiated outward in coded sequences, interfacing with the chakra-conductive seals embedded throughout the android's frame.
Ryu closed his eyes, pushing his awareness deeper. He visualised the android as an extension of his own body—every joint, every seal, every pathway where chakra and electromagnetic current would flow in harmony.
The android twitched.
Its fingers flexed. Ryu moved every muscle one by one to test and gather data and refine the control in real time.
Slowly, deliberately, it pushed itself upright, rising to its feet with controlled precision.
Ryu opened his eyes and stood. He raised his right hand.
The android, [BattleBot Mark-I], mirrored the motion perfectly, lifting its right hand in sync.
Ryu clenched his fist.
[BattleBot Mk-I] clenched its fist.
The blind opponents shifted uneasily.
"Impossible," the right-hand man murmured.
The battle, which had momentarily paused at the android's awakening, erupted once more.
Three blind fighters lunged simultaneously, palms extended, chakra orbs forming in their hands.
Ryu twisted left.
[BattleBot] twisted right.
The first orb sailed past Ryu's shoulder. The second passed harmlessly through empty space. The third struck the ground, punching a crater.
A puppet rushed from behind.
Turning around, the android swung its fist. The puppet's chest was hit by the strike, sending it flying backward into two other puppets. The three of them rolled about on the floor.
Ryu formed a [Rasengan] in his right hand. [BattleBot]'s hand mirrored the motion. Blue energy coalesced in its palm, forming a perfect replica of the technique.
A blind fighter charged from the left.
Ryu pivoted and drove the [Rasengan] into a puppet's midsection, propelling it quickly towards the blind fighter, so fast he could not dodge. The fighter flew away by impact, along with the puppet.
Another fighter came from the right.
[BattleBot] met him head-on, almost slamming the [Rasengan] into his chest but a puppet came in between to protect its master. The man flew backward, crashing on the ground in the distance.
Ryu evaded a chakra sword attack by jumping into the air, while [BattleBot] ducked low behind him and swung its leg wide to hit the same opponent's legs low. They moved like a storm—perfectly synchronised, covering each other's blind spots.
Lightning crackled along [BattleBot]'s arms. The android blurred forward with a lightning body flicker, appearing behind a cluster of puppets. Blades of lightning formed on its hands.
It tore through the wooden constructs with ease, leaving shattered parts scattered across the ground.
The android formed another [Rasengan], but this time it added wind chakra. The sphere expanded, sharpening into a [Rasenshuriken]—four spinning blades extending from the core.
"Impressive," the right-hand man observed, arms crossed. "But the boy is burning through his mental reserves quickly. How long can he maintain this?"
The puppets and blind fighters regrouped, forming a tighter formation. Twelve puppets stood at the front. Ten blind moon dwellers arrayed behind them, hands already forming chakra orbs.
"Combined assault!" one of the moon dwellers commanded.
The chakra orbs merged, combining into a single massive sphere that pulsed with destructive energy. It swelled larger and larger, resembling a miniature Tailed Beast Bomb in both size and intensity.
The sphere launched forward, tearing through the air with a deafening roar.
Ryu hurled the [Rasenshuriken] forward; it screamed through the air, carving a path straight through the centre of the battlefield.
The two attacks collided.
The [Rasenshuriken] struck the lower edge of the chakra sphere, its rotation grinding against the dense energy and forcing the massive orb's trajectory upward. The sphere veered sharply, rocketing skyward instead of forward, exploding harmlessly above.
The shockwave rippled outward, shaking the dreamscape. Ryu protected himself using [ReflexGuard] and enemies using makeshift chakra shields that do not require fuinjutsu but a principle Ryu wants to decode.
The earlier blast now receded, and winds became normal again.
The fighters scattered, circling Ryu and BattleBot. Puppets and moon dwellers formed a ring, closing in from every direction.
Ryu tensed. This is bad.
Chakra orbs formed simultaneously in the hands of every blind fighter. Twelve spheres, all aimed inward.
- [ReflexGuard] activated
Golden hexagonal shields erupted around both him and the android, forming overlapping layers of protection.
The orbs launched.
One struck the barrier—crack.
Another hit from a different angle—crack.
A third slammed into the shield from behind—crack.
The barriers shattered after two hits; fragments shattered into golden glass.
Ryu tried to dodge, but there was nowhere to dodge. Attacks came from all directions simultaneously.
Ryu twisted, trying to weave between the incoming orbs. One grazed his arm—pain flared through his consciousness. A second one slashed his leg—a piercing, disorienting pain.
[BattleBot] moved to intercept, positioning itself between Ryu and the densest cluster of attacks.
Multiple orbs slammed into the android's body. The construct staggered; many dents appeared on its black skin. Its body acted as a shield as it stood firm, despite the fact that cracks started to appear along its arms and chest.
"[BattleBot] cannot dodge everything either… they are all strong… they were just not trying their best… I need to repair it fast."
Ryu put his hand on the android, and his focus sharpened. His gaze locked onto the leader—specifically, onto those pale eyes with their prominent veins.
- [Infrared Vision] activated
- [Improved Eyesight] activated
- [Temporary Enhance] running on [Infrared Vision] and [Improved Eyesight]
- [Electromagnetic Vision] activated
The world exploded into patterns of energy. Ryu's vision shifted—no longer seeing colour or form, but pure electromagnetic signatures. Chakra pathways, independent of the opponent and everything. It was like performing a CT scan of the opponent.
Ryu catalogued every fine detail with [Eidetic Memory]. The precise structure of the eye, the way energy flowed through specific pathways. The biological architecture that made the Byakugan function.
In his previous life, he had reconstructed an eye—understood the delicate interplay of lens, retina, and optic nerve. He had mapped the neural pathways and replicated the sensory processing systems. The Byakugan was more complex, yes, infused with chakra in ways that transcended simple biology. But the fundamental principles remained—photoreceptors and neural pathways—but with some modifications, like added chakra receptors and a few more things.
Through his synchronised connection, Ryu pushed the entire blueprint into BattleBot's body, modifying its structure.
BattleBot's pupils, which had been glowing golden and green, suddenly shifted into pure white light. The pupils dilated; white overtook the eyes completely.
Circuits like veins bulged along the sides of BattleBot's face, spreading outward in intricate patterns. The marks extended across its cheeks, branching like electronic circuits—a perfect mimicry of the Byakugan's signature appearance.
On BattleBot's forehead, the Ōtsutsuki clan crest appeared as a crescent moon encircling a sun. However, the crest vanished not long after.
The android stared directly at the leader with its synthetic replication of the Byakugan.
"It can't be," the leader whispered.
