I was now in an uncomfortable situation. Leah had been so welcoming that I had just assumed that everyone was that way but Simon's parents were cold.
Well, I had taken their child from them for a night so I could not particularly blame them. What more, he came back and immediately bandaged his head so I would give me the cold shoulder too if I were them.
Puff stayed out of sight, but he refused to come to me. He stayed with Simon instead and I wondered if he was like me since he also got attached pretty easily.
My mother was not going to like this but I did not care. I had decided that I was going not going to do whatever she wanted of me. That was not the reason I set out on this journey.
But I did not exactly have a reason for leaving Freedis island other than the fact that I wanted to leave. That was all.
I did want to treat my dad but I doubted that the outside world could solve his problems. He was simply an excuse.
