Kayla POV
I asked Hope on a date to take her mind off of things as she said yes so now we're having a simple dinner without any problems.
I cooked most of the food as I wanted her to relax but then I sensed we had visitors as Freya came running in to me.
Kayla: What's going on?
Freya: Okay so Hope's family is here.
Kayla: What?
Freya: I know they just popped up when we told them Hope had her humanity back on and she has a girlfriend now.
Kayla: Is that good or bad news?
Freya: It's complicated, there super protective of Hope so you have to handle this right as they think you are just using Hope for her power.
Kayla: That's ridiculous!
Freya: I know but just go with it, me and Keelin will be running interference so you don't have to worry at all.
?: Where is she?!
Freya: Go upstairs with Hope.
I sped upstairs to close the door to Hope's room as I see her getting ready.
Hope: Oh yeah, I'm almost ready.
Kayla: Yeah, we got a slight problem, your family is downstairs.
Hope: What?
Kayla: Yeah, apparently they appeared after Freya told them about me.
Hope: Okay, it's fine, don't worry cause there not ruining this date.
She says that but it's my ass on line here and I wanna make a good impression with them.
?: Hope!
We heard a voice coming from downstairs.
Hope: That's my Aunt Rebekah, come on then as we're gonna have so this.
Hope walked in front of me as I breathed in and out as I followed her but then I remembered the dinner.
Kayla: Oh that's right, the dinner!
I sped passed her and everyone to the kitchen as I took everything out as nothing was burnt as sighed in relief.
Kayla: That was close.
Hope: Kayla, is everything okay?
Kayla: Yeah just saved the food I slaved over but it's fine, how's everyone else?
Hope: Aunt Rebekah thinks your using me while Marcel her husband trying to calm her down now.
Kayla: Is that it?
Hope: There waiting to meet you.
Kayla: Okay, I think this is too fast to meet the family but I can run from this so here we go.
I walked out to see everyone waiting.
Hope: Everyone, this Makayla McCall, my girlfriend.
Kayla: Hi everyone.
Rebekah: So your the one with my niece?
Hope: Aunt Rebekah.
Rebekah: Hope, no need to be on the defense, let's have a little chat.
Oh boy.
