Kai revived back near his inn. When he came out of his room, Mimi, Prince, and others were already there — standing in a circle talking, or more like arguing about what had gone wrong.
Zayden was being called out for not asking for help when he got overwhelmed by the creepers, Mimi was accused of dying too soon because she didn't know how to play, Bella was receiving comments on bossing around them even though she had no idea what she was doing. Etc..
Kai had seen such scenes too many times before and knew they all were just dealing with their failure in the worst possible way — Blaming others. He too had done it many times to others, and he too had been on the other end of it. Kai simply walked near them, everyone noticed him and started to include him in their arguments, asking whether they were right or not.
