Chapter 297 - There Had To Be Another Way

— — — — — —

Did the nobles know the young Emperor was the real mastermind behind this?

Of course they did.

But they didn't dare to resent the Little Emperor at all. So naturally, the nobles redirected all their hatred toward the minister and his faction.

And the minister's faction? These officials weren't exactly happy about being scapegoats either—some even looked like they'd love to stab that damn minister to death.

And so—

After over a month of this chaos, the poor prime minister had survived more assassination attempts—by nobles and even his own people—than in his entire life.

Yeah… it was that bad.

Thankfully, every attempt was blocked by the squad Renzo had assigned to protect him.

That was precisely why Renzo put those people around the minister—to keep that annoying tool alive just a bit longer.

Meanwhile, the Empire's reforms around the capital were progressing rapidly and with full force.

But the rest of the Empire? It was already descending into "polite" rebellion.

Some nobles had started joining forces in open defiance, hoping to carve out their own territories and rule independently.

Even worse, powerful figures—like the Revolutionary Army—had taken to capturing cities, building up strength, and preparing for an all-out march on the capital.

Clearly, they weren't just trying to rebel—they were aiming to overthrow the regime and take the throne for themselves.

In the Consciousness Space—

"Yo! What's up, everyone!"

After handing over reform duties to the minister, Run, Najenda, Esdeath, and the others, Emperor Renzo finally had time to kick back and chill from the Akame Ga Kill world.

He'd just spent two days studying different Teigu, and now that he fully understood how they worked and how to make them, he decided to pop into the consciousness space to check in.

Seeing Hermione, Eevee, Uchiha Renzo, and the others hanging around, he raised a hand and greeted them with a cheerful smile.

"Finally showed up, huh? Come on—let's see what you've been up to lately!"

Everyone welcomed him with smiles. Eevee even jumped onto his shoulders to share data via direct syncing before hopping back.

"Oh my~ I wanna see too!"

Uchiha Renzo smirked and sneakily ran his hand over Eevee like a little troll, quickly pulling back before Eevee could retaliate.

Hermione and the others copied him just for fun, earning a big dramatic eye-roll from Eevee.

"Ugh, seriously? Can you guys act normal for once?"

"Quit petting me! I'm not a cat."

"Can't do that sorry cute Eevee," Uchiha Renzo replied with a smile before turning to Emperor Renzo. "Not bad, Little Emperor. Straight to the point, huh?"

You brainwashed the Minister, recruited Esdeath and Night Raid—

"Now that your reforms are picking up speed, all those ambitious types and opponents are gonna come crawling out of the woodwork to fight you."

"Perfect for me," Emperor Renzo smiled calmly. "The sooner they show up, the sooner I can wipe them out and restore order to the Empire."

At that moment, Uchiha Renzo added, "So that's how these Teigu work? Huh, they're actually a lot like alchemy from Hermione's world! But there's also other stuff mixed in—pretty fascinating, honestly."

He looked over at Emperor Renzo. "Hey, once you're free, collect and analyze some of those special-danger beast materials for me, will ya? I wanna try making a few Teigu myself. Maybe even develop a new Kekkei genkai serum using their genes. Never hurts to experiment, right?"

"If I could combine those materials with the ones used to create Demon's Extract, I might be able to craft an even better ice-style kekkei genkai. Same logic should apply to other Teigu too."

"There's a lot of potential in the power of those Danger Beasts from the Akame Ga Kill world. Worth diving deeper."

"No problem!" Emperor Renzo replied with a grin. "Once I'm done reorganizing the capital and the surrounding areas, I'll head out. Honestly, I've been curious about those Danger Beasts myself."

He was already planning to do that anyway.

Uchiha Renzo chimed in, "You don't have to wait till you're free, you know. Just leave a shadow clone behind to manage the capital. Send your real body out on the field."

"Nope, not doing that," Emperor Renzo said while stroking his chin. "I have some personal matters to finish."

"But next time I'll bring back those materials for everyone."

"Oh right!" Eevee suddenly turned to Uchiha Renzo. "Aren't you just about at the start of the Naruto canon timeline? What's your next move?"

"What do you mean, 'next move'?" Uchiha Renzo blinked, then suddenly got it. "Ohhh… well, I'm just gonna let the kids grow a bit first. Let them have some breathing room, y'know? I'm not in a rush."

"With my current power, I could steamroll the entire ninja world no problem. But what's the point in that? Unifying the world takes time. Minato and the others already set everything in motion. I can't just waltz in and undo all their hard work, right?"

"…Buuuut I could drop by the Akatsuki and have some fun."

With the strength he had now, even an invasion by the Otsutsuki Clan wouldn't be a big deal. He could flatten those space aliens like it was nothing.

So yeah—no reason to hurry.

Besides, he'd been wanting to experience what the real-life version of Naruto felt like lately.

Oh, and speaking of recent events—he'd been spending quite a bit of quality time with Kurenai and Tsunade lately.

They'd actually gotten married a few days ago! Yeah—officially.

The news caused quite the stir, not just in Konoha, but across the entire ninja world.

"Fair enough," Eevee nodded.

"Oh, right. Did you see the comedy show I sent in my memories?"

"I've actually been watching these idiots' livestreams through my satellite surveillance system. Can't lie—they're kinda entertaining."

Hermione blinked, looking confused. She went to check Eevee's recent memories.

"Wait a second… I thought Team Rocket had already fallen into your trap. How the heck did those three get back out?"

"…Well, you're not wrong," Eevee said with a helpless shrug. "But I didn't exactly wipe out Team Rocket. I just dismantled their core leadership."

He smirked. "Also, I released Ariana and Vicious, the Iron-Masked Maraude. After that, I had them infiltrate Team Rocket."

Might as well make use of the trash.

Keeping them locked up wasn't doing him any good. Better to insert them back into Team Rocket as double agents—let them do the dirty work while he reaped the rewards.

To make sure everything looked legit on the surface, especially for the sake of public opinion, Eevee had even stepped in personally.

He practically reconstructed their organization by hand, new rules, new names, and even new bases.

All of Team Rocket's people had been carefully orchestrated by Eevee himself. Loyalty? Totally under his control.

"Damn, I gotta admit—you're good," Hermione said, both impressed and slightly concerned. "You think people like Lance or Charles Goodshow would ever approve of something like that?"

"What's the big deal?" Eevee replied like it was obvious. "It works out in our favor. Besides, it'll help us wipe out Team Rocket completely in the future."

"Of course, if they're not truly bad criminals, I'll relocate them somewhere new. That's why I built those hidden bases—to run everything from the shadows. Gotta build my own shadow empire alongside the Renzo Group."

"In the end, I'm doing the world a favor. With me in charge, the truly evil won't get to roam free."

He was dead serious. And honestly, it wasn't hard to understand his logic.

As expected, Giovanni wasn't someone who could be taken down so easily. Even locked up, the guy still had many families pulling strings behind the scenes, subtly influencing the League and remotely managing what was left of Team Rocket. They just kept getting more aggressive.

Giovanni was like Kingpin. A crime lord like that was never going to be simple to deal with… unless Eevee had killed him right from the start.

But really, what would be the point of that? This wasn't Sinnoh, after all.

In Sinnoh, though? Eevee had already taken care of Team Galactic a long time ago. Brainwashed and reorganized the entire faction.

Helped Cynthia and others dodge a major headache in the process.

"...You have a point," Hermione nodded. "Your world, your choice."

Eevee then turned to Hermione. "Speaking of you, Hermione, what are your plans for the Harry Potter world?"

"I'll wait to get a few things from Pirate Renzo before deciding."

"Hope he's done by now."

Pirate World

"Boss! The World Government just raised your bounty again. It's up to 4.5 billion now!"

Nico Robin stood next to Renzo and reported the news calmly.

"Heh…" Renzo let out a cold laugh. "Those bastards are getting bolder by the day. Looks like it's time to deal with them. This world's overdue for a regime change."

Right now, he was operating under the identity of "Uchiha Madara"—one of the most feared names in the New World.

He currently ruled over Dressrosa and several nearby islands.

As for Doflamingo?

He'd been dead for years. Renzo had killed him personally. The String-String Fruit was sitting safely inside one of his private dimensional spaces.

After that incident, the World Government had immediately jacked his bounty up to 3 billion. They even dispatched an Admiral along with a swarm of Marines to hunt him down.

Only one of them escaped.

That moment had solidified the legend of "Uchiha Madara" in the New World—he was now recognized as one of the Five Emperors.

Robin, whom he'd rescued by chance a few years back, now served as his personal secretary.

"Huh?" she blinked. "Boss, are you really planning to make a move now? Isn't it a little sudden?"

Renzo shook his head. "We're pretty much at that point. Waiting any longer is pointless. With my strength now, taking out the Celestial Dragons and even Imu shouldn't be much of a challenge."

"Once I wipe them out and destroy the World Government, this world is going to erupt into chaos. Pirates, the Revolutionary Army, the Navy—they'll all start making moves. In the end, someone will rise above the rest, and a new world order will begin."

Without that kind of earth-shattering disruption, true change in the Pirate World was basically impossible.

Sure, he could've taken control of the World Government himself—but nah, he didn't feel like it. Why? No real reason. Just wasn't in the mood.

"…Wouldn't it be smarter to take down the Celestial Dragons first? Start by weakening the World Government, step by step. And what about the Revolutionary Army? Shouldn't we reach out? Are you even on friendly terms with them?"

Robin asked, brows furrowed slightly. She still preferred a strategic, planned-out approach.

That way, the inevitable chaos would be more controlled, and fewer innocent people would get caught in the crossfire.

She couldn't accept this kind of reckless chaos.

There had to be another way.
