"Mm-hmm," Cynthia nodded but then added with concern, "Be careful. If something feels off, stop immediately. We have plenty of time, so don't push yourself."
"Don't worry! I know my limits." Eevee shook its head confidently.
This experiment was crucial to its goal of achieving a human form—it wouldn't give up easily. Compared to that, mere strength improvement was secondary.
With that, Cynthia moved to the doorway, shut the door, and released Garchomp and the others to stand guard.
Inside the room, Eevee returned to its normal form, sat on the floor, and closed its eyes, beginning the careful process of fusing magic and Pokémon energy bit by bit.

Eevee's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Alright! Let's try my Glaceon form!"

As Eevee switched through each evolution, it realized that every transformation was a success.
Not only that, but as it kept switching forms, the process became smoother and faster, until it could instantly shift between them without delay.
Satisfied, it finally stopped and returned to its normal Eevee form.
Then with a quick use of Apparition, Eevee teleported directly to the room's entrance.
The sudden appearance startled Cynthia and her Garchomp. "Wah! Eevee, you're out already?"
"Wait a minute—" Cynthia suddenly froze, realization dawning on her. "How did you teleport in this form?"
"Huh?" Eevee tilted its head. "Didn't I tell you? I could always do this."
It was true.
Even when reverting to its normal form, Eevee retained its Psychic abilities, though using them in that form was slightly harder and drained more energy.
Of course, what it had just used wasn't even a Psychic move—it was Apparition, a magic teleportation spell.
Unlike Psychic-type teleportation, this spell required no effort, felt entirely natural, and operated on pure instinct. Eevee loved how seamlessly it worked.
"You never told me that!" Cynthia pouted, grabbing Eevee's cheeks and lifting it into her arms with a grumble.
"Ahaha... I must've forgotten! Sorry!" Eevee chuckled awkwardly.

"Ugh, seriously! But you're just too cute, and your apology was so sincere—so I forgive you!" Cynthia's expression immediately softened into a bright smile.

Saying that, it lifted a paw towards them.
"Oh no you don't!"
"Hah! You really thought we'd just listen to you?"
"Not a chance!"
Unfortunately for Eevee, instead of following the usual process, everyone ignored its outstretched paw and went straight for the fluff.
One by one, they reached out and ruffled its fur, petting and rubbing its soft body to their hearts' content before finally pulling back their hands, satisfied.

It was furious.
The next moment, it activated its full speed.
