"There is nothing much we could do if the cult starts its attack. If we activate all the boundary formations, the amount of resources that would be burned would be too much. Even if we win, we may not come out of the resource crisis that would plague us for the next few years at the least", one said.
"Yeah, if we let the cults attack, then the human deaths would be too high, and that could lead to rebellions", another chimed in.
The position the alliance found itself in was very dangerous.
Though they might have apprehended the leader of the Cult, the cultists could now attack everywhere without backing away in order to inflict damage to the alliance before they could do the same to them.
