When Aaron laid his eyes on the man who appeared out of thin air, his first thought was that the man looked weird. Something about him was off, but he couldn't pinpoint what that was.
He was quite busy thinking about what the man had done to get into the ruins, and never wondered that the man had been inside these ruins all along.
The man chuckled, seeing Aaron's terror. It is understandable what was going on in the boy's mind. He has experienced a lot, and discerning something like what the boy in front of him was thinking and fearing about was a small thing for him.
"Boy, there is no need to fear me. I am just a guardian. I won't harm you", the man said.
Aaron couldn't understand what the man was saying at first, but once his fear reduced, he quickly understood. The man was the guardian of the palace, but shouldn't the guardians attack intruders?
This vexed him a bit.
