Noah had no idea what Thanos was up to or what experiments he was conducting.
If he did, he would have been far more cautious and tried to investigate, despite the difficulties.
After teasing Fury, Noah returned to his office and locked the door.
Preliminary preparations had begun. He didn't need to worry about the details and had no desire to waste energy on them.
He preferred to summarize what he had learned in the world of ninjas-specifically, useful Ninjutsu-and explore ways to convert it into magical power.
The difference in power systems meant he couldn't use Ninjutsu directly here, but many of its concepts were fascinating.
The Shadow Clone technique, for instance, was perfect for Noah. If he could master a magical version, things would become much easier. At the very least, he wouldn't have to worry about leaving a mess behind when he wasn't around.
Then there was Susanoo.
Susanoo was an excellent defensive... "magical technique," with significant offensive power. Converting it into magic would be a massive boost for sorcerers who hadn't mastered "Domains."
But it wasn't simple. Even in its original form, Susanoo was complex.
It was modeled after a human body, using Yin Release combined with Chakra to construct a rock-hard physique. Inside were bones and meridians, with the user's Chakra acting as blood. Achieving this with Mana would be difficult.
Mana was destructive, persistent, and explosive. Chakra, by contrast, was malleable. Controlling Mana with the same precision would take enormous effort. A single mistake could destroy the sorcerer.
This explained why developing new spells was so hard and why the emergence of "Arcane" magic caused such a stir.
Noah's unique "Domain" surpassed common understanding. It required unimaginable Mana control, merging different types together. Most sorcerers couldn't attempt it, and those who could would likely die from a Mana backlash.
Thus, the minimum requirement was eighth tier-a level where a sorcerer's control over their Mana was absolute.
"System, any suggestions?" Noah closed his eyes. "Do you have ideas for constructing this spell?"
"There are some. I have the specific construction method," the System replied. "However, it requires your Sealing Arts. Construction will take extreme time. You can view it like your other Dragonborn magic. To promote it, you'll need to promote the Sealing Arts as well."
Sealing Arts?
Noah frowned. This was one of his most unique magics, known to only a few. It had sealed two different bodies already. He was reluctant to reveal it.
"Is there another way?" he asked.
He suspected the legendary Sharingan eyes were essentially a seal for Susanoo. A complete Susanoo was stored in the Mangekyou, and the user manifested it according to their power. Gradually, the user unsealed the power, eventually manifesting it directly-like Madara in the Fourth War.
Better not to mention that. Noah cut himself off.
"No."
"But starting from Sealing Arts is feasible. Your concern is your specific Sealing Art being discovered. There's a better way: create a simplified version. Not difficult."
"A simplified version?" Noah paused. Could it work for sealing Susanoo?
"Not only Susanoo, but also the Dragonborn magic other sorcerers are learning," the System said coldly. "You manifest ninth-tier power at only the seventh tier. A low-level seal wouldn't suffice."
Noah was stunned. Only now did he realize how high-level his Sealing Art really was. It could even seal his Demi-God clones. Its upper limit was unimaginable.
With this magic, he wouldn't need to switch spells. And if the System could downgrade it for others, it would revolutionize wizardry.
Most sorcerers struggled with Dragonborn magic's slow casting time. A weakened Sealing Art would bypass preparation, skyrocketing efficiency.
Noah also recalled that in the Naruto world, Susanoo could layer onto other creatures. Could magical Susanoo layer onto Dragonborn magic? If so, he might have accidentally created another incredibly powerful spell.
The thought intrigued him.
"Then let's do as you say," Noah said. "Downgrade the Sealing Art and give me the data. I want to study it."
"No problem," the System replied mechanically. "Not difficult. As for you, figure out your goals yourself."
"Don't worry. Even without you, I've reached this level. Even a pig would have incredible power at this point."
"I just fear you're not as good as a pig."
...
"So, you guys are joining the fight too?" Thor asked Fury on the screen, confused.
Because of his closeness with Noah, Asgard had maintained special connections to Earth's network. Asgardian tech was advanced; creating communication devices similar to Earth phones was trivial.
Thor had one, with contacts limited to Noah, Mordo, Wong, and Tony. This time, Tony had initiated the call.
Although the bald man on the screen was Fury, Thor recognized him immediately. At first, he didn't pay much attention, but since Fury was Noah's friend, Thor chatted with the Earth leader briefly.
The news surprised him: Earth's forces were volunteering for the war.
"Yes, that's right," Fury nodded. "While we're no match for you, we know what we must do. It shouldn't be surprising."
"No, I'm not surprised you're fighting." Thor shook his head, confused.
"What I find strange is... Noah made such an interesting proposal? Issuing missions? Rewarding tasks?"
"You think it's ridiculous too? Exactly. He came up with it. It's..."
"It's brilliant! A stroke of genius! When are you coming to Asgard? We should have a proper discussion!"
"..."
