The driver just sat in front of the wheels, glancing back at Darian from time to time to see if he would decide to move but he remained seated there with a book in his hand for over six hours now, only moving to flip the page.
'Why does my first day on the job after my break have to be like this? Did I do something wrong?' The driver thought, trying to stay as composed as possible.
Darian was a kind of person who was hardly pleased but at the same time, he was a man of few words. Just from his aura and reaction, you could understand what he wanted if you weren't Lior who seems to be able to read his mind.
He glanced into the rear view mirror just to have his eyes meet directly with Darian's. It felt as if the mirror would crack at any moment due to the intensity of his stare. When did he look up from his book?
"U-uhm, do you need anything, your highness?" He asked with a nervous laughter.
"No." Darian said quietly, glancing towards Hell's Den which seems to be bustling with customers already. 'Rush hour huh,' he thought before reaching for the door, pushing it open.
The driver looked back at the soft click of the door, to see Darian leaning against the car, his arms folded as he stared at the entrance of the club. He thought of going in but warned himself against it. He didn't know why but he was standing here, waiting for an amusing human, who he's had only a few interactions with, to just step out.
Before he could stand out for long, his phone buzzed In his pocket. Leisurely pulling it out of his pocket, he lifted it to his ears without even checking who it was.
"Speak." His voice came out authoritatively.
"His Majesty ordered you not to miss the family dinner or cancel like the last time." Lior's voice came from the other side of the phone.
The line was silent for a while before Darian finally spoke up. "What's the point?" he said, his voice low and chilly. "We both know the only reason he wants me there. Why give him pleasure?"
"But you understand there are people who know your connection to the royal family and want to get close to you due to it." Lior said, but before Darian could reply him, his ears caught faint sounds of cans clattering in a distance.
This made him pause for a second, his gaze heading precisely towards Hell's Den where his enhanced hearing caught that sound but that wasn't what drew his attention. A familiar groan accompanied the clattering sound.
"Are you still there?" Lior asked but he got nothing. "Darian?"
Lior just stood next to his car, looking down at his line which had gone silent. It wasn't a weird occurrence but he felt chills through the phone.
"Sir, are you fine?" The woman attending to him asked, staring at him with a confused look on.
"I'm fine. Leave the rest to me." He said, giving her a small smile. She just bowed before walking away as Lior got straight into the car, heading straight towards wherever Darian might be.

Samantha's back slammed againg the wall. Pain shot throughher spine. She gasped. A rough hand clamped her shoulder, pinning her. "W-what are you doing?" She asked, her voice all shaky.
She was surrounded by a group of four men, obviously demons from their scent. She didn't notice them around her when she stepped into the alley ro take out the trash as her boss had instructed her to. It wasn't part of her job but she had to do it anyway since he instructed.
"This Is against the club's rules. You can't lay hands on the workers." Samantha protested, trying to swing her feet up to hit his crotch, but her leg was stopped mid-air, making her shiver.
"What a feisty one she is. Look at these breasts, damn she's gifted." One of the other men said, his hand reaching to grab her but her other leg swung in his direction, just enough to stop him in his tracks.
"What a bitch she is." The man pinning her to the wall spat in her face, an invisible force hitting her across the face, throwing it to a side. At the same time, the feel of her back against the wall disappeared she was on the ground, one of the men covering her mouth with a gag.
"I would have appreciated somewhere more comfortable but I can't miss out on this." The man said, letting out a wicked laughter.
"Humans are the best prey, don't you think, boys?"
There was silence.
