I let out a sigh and started heading out of the room. Every step she took made my heart thud. I don't know when I'll next see her, but I know I'll miss her presence terribly. So, I went against my head, telling myself to focus on the papers in my hand, and followed my mind.
I took long strides and stopped her by wrapping my arms around her in a hug. I deeply inhaled the sweet smell of her hair.
"Don't say a word. Let me hold you for a bit. I'll miss you," I whispered into her ear.
Still hugging her, "Don't look back, Bunny. I'm seconds away from dragging you back. Take care of yourself and return quickly," I ordered.
She only nodded as she turned the doorknob and walked out. Her presence is greatly missed. Dang it!!!!
