My eyes fluttered open, but the action itself made me groan.
I blinked three times to adjust to the light and found a pair of eyes staring at me. I yelped at the sight.
The culprit chuckled. "There, there. Easy." Kai helped me sit up and handed me a glass of water and two tablets. "It'll help with your headache."
"Ugh. I am so tired." Kai smiled softly at me.
"My uncle is back. Arthur already met him. I wanted you to meet him first, but I didn't want to disturb your sleep. You've been so lethargic these days."
It was getting out of hand that I had to cancel the meeting with the lawyer who would read the will. "Let's go meet him."
"Are you sure? You look unwell." He said, brows scrunching together, but I shook my head.
