Chapter 195: All-Star Singing and Showing Off Their Love

After the interviews ended, the Eastern and Western Conference All-Stars began their warm-ups.

The atmosphere was electric—players were laughing, tossing up long-range threes, and pulling off trick shots as the crowd roared in delight.

If the entire court was a party, then Shaquille O'Neal was undoubtedly the host.

Wherever Shaq went, the mood turned into a festival. He first joined the Eastern Conference players for a round of deep threes, then started dancing in the middle of the court with LeBron James and Dwight Howard.

Finally, he reached into his bag and pulled out something that made everyone burst into laughter—two sneaker phones. One was his signature Shaq Attaq, and the other was Chen Yan's AeroWing, his personal signature shoe.

Shaq handed one sneaker to Chen Yan, and the two began a hilarious face-to-face "phone conversation."

The stunt was ridiculous but effective. It doubled as a sneaker promotion, and Shaq, ever the showman, played the part perfectly.

"Hey buddy! Your songs are insane! If we teamed up, we'd dominate the music charts!" Shaq yelled into the sneaker like it was a real phone.

Besides admiring Chen Yan's basketball skills, Shaq had always been a fan of his music. He had once told reporters that he'd been listening to See You Again on repeat for an entire week.

Speaking into his own sneaker, Chen Yan replied with a grin, "Shaq, give me a chance—and give my song a chance too."

The crowd burst into laughter. Cameras flashed, fans cheered, and even the players were cracking up.

When the little performance ended, Chen Yan spent time signing autographs for young fans near the court. Among them were the sons of several NBA superstars—Zaire Wade, Bronny James, and Isaiah Iverson—all crowding around him with excitement.

It was a surreal sight. Chen Yan wasn't just a star to the fans—he was now the role model for the next generation of NBA legends' kids.

After signing everything from jerseys to sneakers, Chen Yan played around with the kids on the sideline for a bit. Just as he was about to head back to the locker room, something hilarious happened.

Four-year-old Bronny suddenly clung to Chen Yan's leg, refusing to let go.

"Hey! Your dad's right there!" Dwyane Wade laughed, pointing at LeBron standing nearby.

Bronny looked up, his voice loud and innocent. "Chen is my dad!"

The entire group of All-Stars exploded with laughter, including LeBron himself. Off the court, James was playful and full of jokes, a total contrast to his serious game-day demeanor.

As both teams returned to their locker rooms, the pre-game performances began.

The crowd quieted as Harry Connick Jr. and Ellis Marsalis took the stage, their piano duet filling the arena with smooth jazz tones. Then, a brass band from New Orleans joined in, bringing a taste of the city's musical soul.

Saxophones blared, drums pounded, and cheerleaders in vibrant costumes danced in rhythm. Performers dressed in traditional New Orleans attire joined them, blending jazz and cultural heritage in a celebration of the city's roots.

Amid the festive energy, the All-Star introduction ceremony began.

The Eastern Conference reserves entered first, waving to the crowd.

Then came the starters—Chauncey Billups, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwight Howard.

Because Jason Kidd had been traded to Dallas, Billups had taken over the East's starting point guard spot. Kidd, once the East's leader, didn't even land a reserve role in the West—his spot lost in the packed guard lineup that included Nash, Paul, Iverson, Kobe, and Chen Yan.

Next, the Western Conference reserves were introduced. When Chris Paul's name was called, the noise level shot through the roof. This was his home court, and New Orleans fans made sure he knew it.

Finally, the Western Conference starters stepped into the spotlight.

Chen Yan, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, and Yao Ming stood side by side, posing as the cameras flashed.

After the introductions, the players gathered at center court for photos, and Chen Yan quickly slipped away to the locker room.

He had a busy night ahead—not only playing in the game but also performing live.

"How do you feel?" Taylor Swift asked with a bright smile as she adjusted her microphone backstage.

"It's way more nerve-racking than basketball," Chen admitted, taking a deep breath.

Taylor laughed softly. "Relax. Just like we practiced, okay?"

Chen nodded, giving her a reassuring grin.

Moments later, the arena lights dimmed, and the soft piano intro to See You Again filled the air. Taylor Swift walked gracefully onto the stage, her voice calm and emotional.

"When I see you again~ When I see you again~"

As her chorus ended, the lights suddenly went out, plunging the arena into darkness. Gasps rippled through the audience—some thought the power had gone out.

But it was all part of the plan.

Then, with a thunderous beat, the stage lights blazed back to life. The crowd screamed as Chen Yan appeared at center stage, microphone in hand.

"Damn, who knew all the planes we flew!"

His voice boomed through the speakers, rich and controlled. The All-Stars courtside burst into laughter and applause, some cheering, some filming on their phones.

Chen's singing was smooth and confident, his tone deep and captivating—but his movements were… robotic.

The sight of a superstar athlete singing earnestly while moving like a stiff mannequin had the entire arena roaring with laughter. Even the players on the bench couldn't keep straight faces.

Despite the comedy of it all, his performance with Taylor was still mesmerizing. Their voices blended beautifully, and the chemistry between them was undeniable.

As the final note echoed, Chen and Taylor locked eyes.

The arena went quiet.

Then, in a spontaneous moment of emotion—or perhaps pure instinct—they leaned in and kissed.

The crowd went wild. The noise was deafening.

The kiss hadn't been planned; it just happened naturally. But it sent the energy in the arena to its peak.

On the sidelines, the All-Stars howled with laughter, clapping and shouting as if someone had just hit a game-winning buzzer-beater.

"Yo! How did a love song turn into a love scene?" someone yelled, and the entire bench erupted again.

Chen and Taylor stepped off the stage, both blushing but smiling.
