Aryan scoffed, his voice sharper now. "Birth and death are the only things that happen once in a lifetime. Weddings? People do it as many times as they like." The bitterness in his tone wasn't lost on either of them. His heart still hadn't healed, and now this—this show of forced happiness—was only making things worse.
