Chapter 363 - Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [362]

Staring at the two figures clashing fiercely in the sky, Abaddon found himself at a loss.

They could fly! They could fire those distant beams, and their movement speed was nearly supersonic. With this kind of combat prowess, Horus could have easily toyed with him from the very start.

Only when fighting this purple giant and Sidonis did Horus finally unleash his true strength.

Sonic booms rolled across the sky, the heavens themselves trembling.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The two giants battling in the sky were now moving at over Mach 10. Even the Chaos Daemon Princes could no longer track their movements.

Under the fierce battle between these two giants, the entire planet began to show signs of collapse. The shockwaves were so intense that even a planet couldn't withstand them.

"All Black Legion members, withdraw to your ships immediately! This fight is no longer for mortals to watch!" Abaddon rushed to the front of his Legion and gave the order.

The Black Legion's chief sorcerer, Khayon, along with other Chaos Champions, Lords, and Sorcerers, each led their warbands aboard their ships.

On the Red Corsairs' side, Chaos Space Marines also immediately boarded their ships, distancing themselves from this planet now engulfed in battle.

"Who are you?" Horus asked as he fended off the purple giant's attack.

After activating his Dark Emperor form, he was at full power, yet he still couldn't take down this purple giant in front of him!

The opponent seemed to have identical abilities, and could even absorb his energy beams, forcing Horus into close combat.

"Who am I? That's none of your concern. But I can tell you this—my purpose, my reason for creation, is to hunt giants like you," Sidonis replied.

Indeed, the purpose of these Ace Killers was to counter the giants of the Land of Light. This time, it was merely a Dark Giant instead.

All their parameters and abilities were modeled after Ace Ultraman, with powers to absorb giant energy beams and even copy their skills—everything was designed to counter giants.

Dozens more exchanges followed in the sky, neither side gaining the upper hand. Slaanesh's chaotic power was not much weaker than the Dark Emperor's strength.

More importantly, Sidonis, using the assassin's power, had just absorbed Horus's beam attack and successfully copied the skill.

Under these circumstances, Horus would have to break his own limits to win; otherwise, victory was impossible.

Ever since being summoned to this world, he'd never fought such a thrilling battle.

His previous fight with the Emperor's avatar was mere theater, a show at his master's behest—not real combat.

But neither Horus nor the Dark Giant within him knew Sidonis' true identity.

"Ah!" Horus roared, pulling back from the purple giant, charging up his ultimate move, gathering all dark energy at the timer on his chest, and firing.

"Dark Emperor Ultimate Beam!"

This was the strongest move he could unleash in this form. Let's see if you can absorb this one!

"Chaos God Ultimate Beam!" Sidonis mirrored him, gathering all his chaotic energy at his own timer and firing.

The jet-black and deep-purple beams collided violently, intertwining into a gigantic black-and-purple sphere.

Terrifying waves of energy erupted in all directions.

This time, the planet beneath finally crumbled under the giants' unleashed powers—the very core was destroyed.

The black-and-purple energy sphere detonated in a massive explosion.

A dazzling bloom lit up the dark cosmos—a planet reduced to dust by two warring giants.

Both were blown away, flung out of the planet's orbit.

After being blasted tens of thousands of kilometers, the two finally regained control, transforming into streams of black and purple light, resuming their fierce duel in space.

Freed from planetary gravity, they clashed at superluminal speeds in open space.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Aboard the Chaos warships, the Chaos Space Marines, Sorcerers, cultists, and even daemons all stopped their work.

Wide-eyed, they stared in disbelief at the battle raging beyond the hull—two super-lifeforms locked in combat.

"What terrifying power!" Khayon sighed with awe.

Once of the Thousand Sons, second only to Ahriman in psychic might, he had left the Legion years ago and was saved by Abaddon, becoming his chief sorcerer and right hand.

Even the duels between his own Primarch Magnus and the Wolf King Leman Russ were never this fierce—at most, they'd level a city.

But here, the shockwaves destroyed a planet! And the fight in space was at faster-than-light speeds! This was insane!

"Has the universe come to this? Is this still the galaxy we know?" muttered a Chaos Daemon Prince.

He'd only been out of the material universe for a few centuries, and now such terrifying beings roamed the cosmos!

Once, Chaos Daemon Princes and Daemon Primarchs were the ultimate power—mortals could hardly hope to kill them; even Chapter Masters, Custodians, and Sisters of Silence couldn't harm them.

Their only threats were top-level psykers and the Grey Knights.

But now, a monster had appeared who could utterly crush them, slaughtering them like mere foot soldiers. The disparity was staggering.

In the void, the two giants unleashed another barrage of beams. The giants remained unscathed, but the surrounding Chaos warships were not so lucky.

Countless ships were caught in the crossfire. Their void shields overloaded and collapsed, and they exploded in brilliant fireballs.

Boom! Boom!

From time to time, a Chaos warship was struck by black or purple beams, vaporized in a dazzling burst.

Both the Ace Killer and the Dark Giant were Rhodes's summons, so destroying Chaos ships actually earned Rhodes system currency.

So the more intense the battle, the better!

Now, with both combatants fully committed, Sidonis drew his demonic sword unleashing waves of purple sword energy.

Horus, controlling the Dark Giant, darted through space, evading the sword energy and countering with volleys of black energy blasts.

For a moment, the entire cosmos was painted in only two colors: black and purple.

Slaanesh's chaotic power and the Dark Emperor's might clashed violently once more.

"Order all ships to retreat at least three light-years away—don't get caught in the crossfire," Abaddon commanded.

Staying any longer risked having the Chaos fleet annihilated by a stray attack.

On the Red Corsairs' side, they followed suit, abandoning their new leader and preparing to flee. But the system was already locked down by the Chaos Gods.

After the Great Rift opened, the Chaos Gods could interfere even more in realspace, sealing off the area and preventing warp travel.

"Incredible! These two giants' combat power rivals that of newly born C'tan!" Khorne exclaimed with admiration.

Watching this clash was the ultimate thrill for the God of War—nothing stirred his blood more than such epic battles!

As for losing Chaos Space Marines? Who cared? They bred like locusts—wait a while, and a new horde would rise.

"That Emperor avatar is nothing compared to these monsters!" Nurgle grumbled.

Nurgle was troubled lately—Isha seemed to have shut off her garden, and his attempts to contact her had failed. Poor Nurgle didn't yet know that his beloved goddess of life had been stolen.

"Slaanesh, aren't you going to share? How did you create that purple giant?" Tzeentch demanded.

This purple giant and the Dark Giant seriously upset the balance—if the Emperor had such monsters, Slaanesh couldn't be left behind!

"A complete accident. He just appeared in front of me," Slaanesh replied.

This giant was the work of Rhodes—the Emperor's avatar was just an early form.

These giants could absorb all kinds of power, including that of the Chaos Gods—just inject the corresponding god's power, and their forms, skills, and appearance would change.

But ultimate control of these giants always rested with Rhodes, no matter what energy they absorbed!
