Chapter 198 - Ancestral Bloodline Reversion

Walking through the corridor, the two arrived before the door of the Hokage Office.

Naruto knocked on the door.

"Come in." Tsunade's voice came from inside.

The two pushed the door open and entered.

Inside the office, besides Tsunade and Shizune, Kakashi was also there.

Seeing Naruto walk in behind Jiraiya, their gazes were instantly fixed on his black hair and dark brown eyes.

"Naruto, what happened? How did you become like this?"

Tsunade walked around the desk to stand before Naruto and raised her hand, intending to use medical ninjutsu to check him.

"Granny Tsunade, Shizune. Kakashi-sensei is here too." Naruto greeted the three of them first.

He then explained, "I just had an Ancestral Bloodline Reversion, no need to make a fuss."

"Ancestral Bloodline Reversion?" Tsunade's hand paused in mid-air.

She quickly thought about the Uzumaki blood flowing in Naruto, but immediately felt confused. Uzumaki Bloodline Reversion should result in red hair, yet Naruto now had black hair.

"Naruto, Uzumaki Bloodline Reversion should result in red hair, this..." Tsunade voiced everyone's confusion.

"Mine is a higher-level Ancestral Bloodline Reversion."

"Higher-level reversion?" Tsunade and Jiraiya exchanged a glance.

"Granny Tsunade, you should know that the Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan are distant blood relatives, right?"

Tsunade nodded.

The Senju and Uzumaki sharing the same roots is a consensus passed down through the ages, but what does that have to do with Naruto's black hair?

"That is to say, we have a common ancestor. And my reversion went back to the level of that ancestor."

After a moment, Tsunade came to her senses and nodded.

So that was it!

The Bloodline Reversion bypassed the Uzumaki clan and went directly back to the bloodline before the Senju and Uzumaki diverged. This level of reversion was unheard of in the history of the Ninja World.

"Then what abilities did your awakened ancestral bloodline grant you?" This was what Tsunade cared about most.

"I awakened a Sage Body, inheriting massive vitality and Chakra." Naruto summarized concisely.

Tsunade nodded, her gaze lingering on Naruto for a few more seconds.

Actually, she really wanted to ask if he had awakened Wood Release, but since Naruto didn't mention it himself, it wasn't appropriate for her to press.

"Kakashi, I already know the situation. You go back first and prepare to attend the upcoming meeting." Tsunade turned and said to Kakashi, who had been standing quietly in the corner.

"Yes, Hokage-sama." Kakashi nodded.

As he passed Naruto, he said, "Naruto, you've really changed a lot. I almost didn't recognize you."

He had a bunch of questions he wanted to ask but now was not the time for reminiscing. After nodding at Naruto, he pushed the door open and left.

After Kakashi left, Tsunade sat back behind the desk. "Naruto, Jiraiya should have already told you about the actions of Kumogakure. What do you think?"

Naruto nodded. "My suggestion is to fight. However, since the other side doesn't even care about the life or death of their own Raikage, we must send them something to make them re-evaluate Konoha's attitude."

Jiraiya lowered his head upon hearing this, silent for a moment. He had guessed Naruto would answer like this on the road, but hearing it personally, he still couldn't help but sigh.

Tsunade was not surprised by this answer. "What do you want to send them?"

"Three people, kill one. What do you think?"

Naruto said in a flat tone.

Jiraiya and Tsunade were stunned at the same time.

Kill a prisoner?

And it was the core high-level prisoner of Kumogakure. This was even more provocative than refusing to negotiate. That bunch of muscle-heads might just launch an all-out attack directly.

Naruto shrugged, "Forget it, looking at your expressions, you probably won't agree. Then just send them one of the Raikage's arms. Warn Kumogakure that if they continue to act recklessly, Konoha is willing to accompany them to the end."

"It's just that by then, the Raikage and his two guards will no longer be prisoners, but repatriated remains."

Tsunade's eyes lit up after listening. "Good idea. Sending an arm is more useful than saying a hundred harsh words. It doesn't completely tear off the facade, yet it is enough to make them realize that Konoha is serious this time."

"What if they really don't care about the Raikage's life or death and insist on starting a war?" Jiraiya asked.

"Then let me go." Naruto said.

Tsunade and Jiraiya exchanged a glance, then nodded at the same time.

If it really came to that step, Naruto volunteering was indeed the optimal solution. Konoha's conventional forces must be reserved to guard against other major powers taking advantage of the chaos, so they couldn't be fully committed to the Kumogakure front. And Naruto alone was worth an entire Ninja Army.

"Alright, that's it for the Kumogakure matter. Naruto, next I want to ask you."

Tsunade leaned back in her chair, her eyes sharpening a bit. "Who exactly are that big one and small one who were with you yesterday? Your attitude towards them is obviously different from others."

Jiraiya turned his head to look at Naruto. He had been holding back a stomach full of questions for a long time.

"Naruto, why does that child named Boruto look so much like you? Could it be that Minato was out..."

"Pervy Sage, stop right there." Naruto raised his hand to interrupt Jiraiya.

He incidentally used Mind's Eye of the Kagura to scan around the office, confirming there were no abnormal Chakra signals before looking back at the two. "Are you sure you want to know? What I'm about to say might overturn your perception of the world."

Tsunade and Jiraiya exchanged a glance, then nodded solemnly at the same time. "We want to know."

"Alright."

Naruto reached out to both of them. Tsunade and Jiraiya each reached out and placed their hands on his palms.

Whoosh!

The three disappeared from the Hokage Office.

Shizune stood in place holding Tonton, looking at the spot where the three had just stood, and sighed.

Leaving her alone in the office again.

...

Naruto's Villa, Training Room.

Following a spatial fluctuation, three figures appeared out of thin air in the training room.

Tsunade hadn't been here before, looking around at this circular stone room that had been manually excavated.

Jiraiya recognized at a glance that this was a private training room Minato had used during his lifetime.

"Naruto, is it necessary to be so rigorous when speaking in your own home?" Jiraiya was somewhat puzzled.

"I'm used to it. Before talking about important matters, I always find a place that is absolutely secure first." Naruto smiled.

"Alright Naruto, stop keeping us in suspense, hurry up and say it." Tsunade crossed her arms, her eyes full of curiosity.

Naruto didn't drag it out any longer and spoke straightforwardly, "That one-eyed uncle is named Uchiha Sasuke. Boruto's full name is Uzumaki Boruto. I've told you both names, so I shouldn't need to explain further, right?"

Jiraiya and Tsunade's pupils shrank at the same instant upon hearing this.

"Didn't Sasuke just go undercover with Orochimaru a few days ago? That one-eyed guy is also Sasuke, then doesn't that mean..."

"And Uzumaki Boruto... Uzumaki is your surname..."

"Are they from the future?" Jiraiya voiced his conjecture.

As an intelligence expert, he processed this kind of information faster than Tsunade.

Visitors from the future.

Although he didn't say the rest out loud, all the fragments had already pieced together a complete picture in his mind.

Naruto nodded. "Boruto is my child from the future."

Tsunade gasped.

Jiraiya, however, had already connected all the clues a step ahead.

No wonder that blond kid looked so much like Naruto, and no wonder Naruto had been so attentive to both of them from the beginning.

He revealed a meaningful expression. "Then Boruto's mother must be the Young Miss of the Hyuga Clan, right?"

"I see that his facial features resemble Hinata's a bit, and Naruto, your attitude toward Hinata is completely different from how you treat others."

"Pervy Sage, knowing too much about the future isn't necessarily a good thing." Naruto replied.

Jiraiya fell silent upon hearing this.

He knew all too well the consequences of interfering with the timeline. A butterfly flapping its wings could trigger a storm, let alone knowing about one's own marriage and offspring.

"Looks like I'll have to find a time to have a chat with Hiashi." Tsunade muttered.

"Ahem! Granny Tsunade, that's still too early."

Naruto pulled the topic back, "Let's go back and finish dealing with the Raikage first. We can talk about the Hyuga Clan later."

"True." Tsunade nodded.

Jiraiya was still shaking his head and sighing. "Naruto, you already have a son in the future. Youth is truly enviable. I wonder when my own love life will come. I've written so much Icha Icha Paradise, yet I haven't managed to have a single romance myself."

"Hmph, I personally don't think anyone would like a voyeur who peeks at the women's bathhouse all day." Tsunade snorted coldly, delivering a ruthless blow.

"That's research, do you understand? The reason Icha Icha Paradise can be written so realistically is all because I accumulate material on the front lines." Jiraiya retorted.

He wanted to say more but he immediately shut up after meeting Tsunade's murderous gaze. He didn't want to get beaten up in Naruto's training room.

As Tsunade and Jiraiya each placed their hands on Naruto's shoulders, the Flying Thunder God Technique was activated, and the three figures vanished from the training room.
