[Author Note: There will be a difference between two types of Arcane, the regular Arcane which is a person who controls magic like a Mage. And there are Dark Arcane, which are more dark, like Dark Mages, and there will also be names for each person's skills and magic.]
How many days had he spent conserving his power and magic through this Mana Vessel to capture the Unio students?
Necromancer Heutsz: "It's been almost a week."
Although he had spent a whole week trying to capture one of them, it was actually much more difficult than he had imagined.
He couldn't underestimate them, even though they were just kids, because the students of Unio Academy had been trained to fight the Dark Arcane of the Hive.
Necromancer Heutsz: "I think it's time to send out my elite Undead," he thought as he used his Undead magic.
Duk-duk-duk
He began to stomp the ground with his staff three times, activating Summoning, and the ground around him began to tremble.
Bones began to move, writhing from the ground. Faint screams could be heard from below, like spirits refusing to be summoned back. The man smiled lopsidedly.
Necromancer Heutsz: "Rise... my faithful followers."
One by one, terrifying creatures emerged: six Undead Knights in rusted armor, two Undead Berserkers with bulky bodies and smoking black axes, and eight Undead Mages with torn robes and glowing green eyes. The ritual drained all his mana. Blood dripped from the corners of his lips, but he continued to laugh softly.
Necromancer Heutsz: "Cough... This really drains my mana, but it's okay as long as they can be captured."
But his laughter stopped as dozens of magical lights began to rain down on the surrounding area. From behind the rubble and gravestones, the first-year students of Unio Academy emerged in full formation.
Ken and Edward faced the two Undead Berserkers.
Ken: "Edward! Send out your barrier! I'll hold them off!"
Edward: "Okay, Ken!" Edward replied, quickly summoning a protective magic circle.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the graveyard, Benny, Mella, and Morian were facing the Undead Knights.
Every clash between swords and magic produced a resounding sound. Even though they had attacked with their magic, the Undead Knights were very adept at positioning themselves while resisting the incoming magic attacks.
Mella: "Don't let them get close! They'll cut through our formation!"
In the rear, Luna, Maria, Louisa, and the members of the Dralan Club formed a magic array. Their hands moved rapidly, forming a complex magic circle in the air.
Louisa: "Fourth fire formation—activate!" The Excitement
Instantly, fire magic attacks began to spread towards the Undead Mages, but fortunately for the Undead Mages, they had created a Barrier to withstand the ferocious attacks from Louisa and the rest of the Dralan Club.
Luna, on the other hand, along with Maria, also blocked several counterattacks launched by the Undead Mages using their Ice Barriers and Water Barriers.
The battle looked like a massive war amidst a sea of fog. Magic collided, colorful flashes of energy lit up the night, while Heutsz stood amidst it all, laughing like a conductor enjoying the symphony of destruction this battle evoked.
Necromancer Heutsz:
Although he knew that Unio Academy was created to train Arcane warriors to fight Dark Arcane, there was one fatal flaw.
It had been nearly several decades since the Dark Arcane, including the Hive, had rarely appeared.
And because the world was experiencing a period of peace at that time, Unio Academy experienced a decline in training its students, resulting in less practical lessons and a focus on theory alone.
This is also common for most people; they eventually lose that habit to adapt to the changing world, and it's something that happens frequently in many places.
In other words, the current Unio students lack the practical experience to fight Dark Arcane, including Necromancer Heutsz.
But the laughter stopped abruptly. A *magic arrow* A high-speed bolt shot through the fog, followed by a blue, gleaming crystal bolt.
Shut!
Heutsz hurriedly tapped his staff, and a Bone Barrier appeared in front of him, blocking the two attacks with a loud crack!
Necromancer Heutsz: "Who is it?!" he shouted.
That can't be happening.
Clearly, he already knows the locations of all the Unio students. There are twelve of them in total. Even now, isn't their location clearly revealed through the vision of his Undead?
But why are there two more students here?
This wasn't due to a miscalculation, or him not paying attention.
There was most likely a third person who had sneaked in without Heutsz's knowledge, and it was this person who most likely messed up his plans in the first place.
From behind the fog, two figures slowly emerged. The first was a man with tousled black hair, a relaxed expression, but sharp eyes—Wim. Beside him, Art floated from beside him, his pupils rapidly rotating. Beside him stood Lucius, his crystal aura calming him.
Necromancer Heutsz: "You bastards...!"
Wim: "Wow... I thought we'd find him later than expected. So fast."
Lucius: "Keep your distance, Wim. That Necromancer is very dangerous."
Wim: "Very well, Your Highness."
The Necromancer frowned, his eyes narrowing.
Necromancer Heutsz: "Finally... I've found the bastards who ruined my plans... It's time for you to die!"
Then Lucius began to create a *Crystal Sword* with his magic, and Wim activated his Hidden Tool into Sword mode, using the hilt of the *Glint Sword* to create a magically charged sword.
And with a shout from Heutsz, the battle finally began
