At first, Silvanus killed Teacher A merely to flesh out Nerio's personality. But it seemed that action had brought him a surprise.
Nerio rested his chin on his hand, watching as the teacher stepped onto the podium.
The man glanced over the classroom, then said softly:
"Because Teacher A had some urgent matters to deal with, she will never appear in school again..."
Hearing those words, the students below immediately erupted in commotion, as if they hadn't expected Teacher A to quit like that suddenly.
The teacher didn't stop their noise, only continued speaking slowly:
"I am Teacher Smith. From today on, I'll be in charge of this class. It's already class time, and we've wasted much of it because of Teacher A. The first subject is mathematics."
The students quickly slipped into learning mode, obediently sitting in their seats.
