Ashly is sitting down, and she is eating a can of something that has no label. Ashly is talking to someone about how today is a great day. Today is not as cold as usual so Ashly decided to just wear Lucas's coat as it's much warmers that hers. Sure she might sweat, but she cares about the coat that saved her life.
Ashly then pulls out a newspaper. "As you can see today is they day that Gael was executed, and it was an amazing read!" Ashly says as the newspaper covered how distressed, and full of fear Gael's face was.
"Everyone cheered for his death, and how they couldn't have waited to see a monster die." Ashly then smiles. "I was glad that I bought the newspaper, and I was so excited that I almost did something bad." She says as she flips the page.
"This might be one of the only times I'll ever read a newspaper ever. You should be lucky that I'm reading this to you, and being happy." Ashly says as she continues to eat, and flip through the newspaper.
"Thankfully everyone else isn't going to suffer from any crime anytime soon. I'm guessing that most of the crimes in this district were caused by both gangs." Ashly then flips the newspaper, and she sighs.
"The leader of the Lurker's has yet to be found, and his whereabouts are unknown. The good thing is that most of the gang has crumbled, and because their leader maybe a coward. He doesn't want to end up like Gael so he disbanded the gang, and they are all being hunted down slowly." Ashly then begins to laugh at that as they are all being swept up.
"The future is going to be alright so I'll be safe, and probably try things out, but what would I do as I'm still completely lost within this world? I have no one waiting for me, and to the government I'm either dead or missing." Ashly begins to think for a bit, and then she scoffs.
"I'm basically a ghost that can only wonder, and not stay attached to anything. I just don't believe that I can ever be forgiven for being such a terrible being." Ashly then closes her eyes. "I'll tell you everything that has happened within the past few days."
Ashly then opens her eyes, and puts down the newspaper. "I hope that you're a good listener as I would hate to repeat myself, but for you…maybe." Ashly then takes another bite on her food. "I'm hungry, and this might be my only meal for the day so you should be patient with me."
Ashly then puts down her can. "A lot of things have happened, so I'll start fairly simple of course. Since the very successful, and overly shared victory of the government in 'destroying both gangs." Ahsly almost laughs, but she covers her mouth.
"Many more people applied to join the SDA which would overall be great for safety. Well most of them did join the SDA and the others I don't know, but it's much safer for the people within this district. For three days the news only covered Gael's execution, and what other politicians felt about it." Ashly says as she stretches her arms.
"I knew about this because almost everyone couldn't shut up about how a major threat disappeared." Ashly then looks away for a few seconds.
"Oh right for the second one was which I find more worrying had to do with the Zoryem. They all got wiped out within days after their stunt at the gang battle. They were all over their heads, but they did achieve infamy at least. Since they were on the newspaper many people heard about them." Ashly says as she picks up the newspaper to flip to a page that was about them which was now much less present.
"Not only that, but the government put more information about their dead leader. He started to gain some infamy for being a scary criminal that went unnoticed by the government itself. I have suspicions that they were happy about that which is why their capture was easy. Their leader now leaves a bit of fear on people as they are afraid that more criminals are going unnoticed."
"What worries me is that Daniel and Amir went with them, and there is a chance that they also got captured. I don think they both are bad people, but they are just unlucky people who just got lucky one time. Honestly I believe that they should live a peaceful life together, and not cause trouble." Ashly then puts her hands together.
"I remember when they asked me if I wanted to join them." Ashly then puts her palm on her face. "I can't believe I forgot that as with all that has been happening. I guess it went to the back of my mind. It's a miracle that they survived everything because if they were here I would hitch a ride with them."
"I had a feeling that maybe they could help me as they seem like good people." Ashly says as she scratches her cheek.
"Well I'm leaving now, and I hope that you have a good day as I'm not returning anytime soon." Ahsly grabs the newspaper and wraps it. She stands up and walks to a trash can, and throws it away. "I really hate corn, but it's cheap so I'll bare with it until I find a way to make good money."
Ashly then leaves Lucas's grave and as she walks into a stable, there is where Lucas's horse was taken care of. Ashly thanks the man, and pays him for taking care of the horse, Ashly then steps outside the district.
Ashly takes a deep breath, and she looks around herself. The winter is almost over so she can survive on the outside without much trouble. "I'll probably live by myself for a while if forever." Ashly says as she begins to move away from the district on the horse.
Ashlt then thinks about Lucas, and how he made her days much more interesting. The last few months were honestly the most interesting times she has had within the past few years. Lucas truly is a unique man as he managed to change her, and give her freedom.
Ashly then looks down as the reason for the start of her freedom was by lying to Lucas. She managed to become a new person because she manipulated and lied to him. She should be grateful because of it, but she did so many wrongs to get to that point.
Ashly then shakes her head, this is how the world works, and it keeps on moving. She shouldn't stop at all as she knows how the world works more than anyone else. Ashly then looks at a certain location, right across many miles away is Greenside the place she grew up in.
It's far away, but that's home, what is Marie doing currently? She doesn't know why she is thinking of her as she is living her own life that she shouldn't mingle in. Ashly continues, but then she stops as she can hears a familiar voice calling for her. Ashly then turns to see Daniel waving his hands towards her.
He is alive and he seems very tired. He is alive nevertheless, but she can't see Amir anywhere. She turns the horse, and moves it towards Daniel. "I'm so glad you came out already, I couldn't have waited any longer." Daniel says as he sounds tired.
"What happens to you, and why are you so tired? What a coincidence that we see each other again. I'm glad that at least someone I know is still alive." Ashly says as she gets closer to Daniel and inspects him.
"I heard from someone that you were in Iriage, so I came here and waited for you. I waited here for days, but it was worth it as I needed to see you. I can tell by Lucas not being here that he didn't make it out which is why I'm here to help you." Daniel says as he lowers his tone, and takes his hat off to pay respect.
"Oh it's alright as I mostly have accepted his death after I did a few other things." Ashly says thinking back to that moment. "Where is Amir, and what happened with the Zoryem and stuff?" Ashly asks Daniel.
"Oh well you might not believe me, but Omar was with us, he survived his bullet wound." Daniel says, and Ashly is surprised. "We left them after few days when Omar called out their dumb and crazy plan. I'm grateful that they didn't fight as we would of been killed by them."
"We traveled around the district before we heard about the news of Gael. Things are decent now, but we travel a lot and we don't usually have a permanent home. We have yet to find a suitable place for us to live quietly, but what about you Ashly?" Daniel asks.
"I was planning to wander around the world, and try to make enough to survive my journey. I had no goals so this was my only option, but would it be a bother if I ask to come with you three?" Ashly asks Daniel hoping that he accepts her.
Daniel then smiles. "Of course we will accept you Ashly, come with us now. Honestly Ahsly the other reason I came here was because I wanted to invite you, but I guess it all worked out alright." Daniel says to Ashly.
Ashly sighs in relief, and she begins to follow Daniel to where Omar and Amir are. She doesn't know if she would live normally, but with them, she might have a chance. Ashly then looks back at Iriage.
"Lucas, thank you for saving my life, and never giving up on me." Ashly then smiles.
