[A few days later]
Alex sat comfortably on the couch with baby Asher resting against his chest, one large hand supporting the tiny back.
Asher blinked up at him with wide curious eyes, tiny fingers wrapping around Alex's thumb as if he already understood who held him.
Alex smiled softly and leaned closer. "You're getting stronger already, little guy. Couple more months and you'll probably start bossing everyone around."
Asher made a small noise, somewhere between a grunt and a tiny sigh, and Alex chuckled as he adjusted him slightly. "Yeah, I figured you'd agree with that."
The baby shifted again, then made a suspicious face that Alex recognized instantly. He narrowed his eyes slightly before lifting Asher away from his chest.
"Oh no... I know that face," Alex murmured as he sniffed lightly, then laughed under his breath. "Oh, boy. That's a big do-do, buddy. You really powered it before changing, didn't you?"
He stood carefully, walking toward the changing table already set up nearby. Asher squirmed a little, his tiny legs kicking lazily in the air while Alex worked with calm familiarity.
"Alright, let's fix this situation," Alex muttered as he worked through the diaper change, still talking like he was discussing business strategy in a boardroom.
Asher responded with another soft sound, completely unaware of the importance of the conversation.
Alex cleaned him up, powdered him a little...
"There we go," Alex finished, sealing the fresh diaper and lifting him again. "Clean and ready for the world, Mr. Wilson."
"Aayy!" Asher let out another sound.
"You look like Baby Boss," Alex chuckled a little. "You know that? All you need is a classic black suit."
He carried Asher toward the balcony, the glass door sliding open as the cool morning air drifted inside. The skyline stretched endlessly, sunlight reflecting off the buildings while the city hummed below.
Alex stepped outside and gently rocked Asher, swaying slightly as he looked out across New York. Then, almost absentmindedly, he began singing softly.
"Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high..."
His voice stayed low and warm, the gentle rhythm matching the slow rocking motion. Asher relaxed in his arms, tiny hand resting against Alex's shirt while his breathing grew softer.
Halle lingered halfway down the stairs, leaning against the railing as she watched Alex and Asher on the balcony. She had been quietly observing their father-son moment for a while, choosing not to interrupt. As she looked on, a sense of peace settled deep within her.
'He looks so calm with him… like the world outside doesn't exist right now.'
Alex gently rocked Asher, humming softly. His movements were careful, natural, like he had done this his entire life.
'This is the same man who runs half of Hollywood… and yet here he is, worrying about diapers and singing lullabies.'
Her lips curved into a small smile as she watched him adjust Asher when the baby shifted, instinctively supporting his head without even looking.
'He pays attention to every little thing...'
The breeze moved lightly through the balcony, and Alex continued humming, completely focused on the tiny life resting against him.
'He's always surrounded by chaos… meetings, filming, business deals… but he still makes time for us.'
Halle sat down on the stairs, her expression softening further.
'I never thought I'd find this… not like this.'
Alex brushed his finger gently across Asher's cheek, smiling faintly when the baby relaxed again.
'He's tired… I can see it… but he still chooses to be here instead of sleeping.'
Her chest tightened slightly.
'That's who he is… he doesn't say much… he just shows up.'
She stayed there silently, not wanting to interrupt the moment, letting herself take it in fully.
'I'm really lucky… luckier than anyone in the world.'
Halle watched them for another moment, her smile soft and peaceful.
'My family… my two boys… this is everything.'
....
[Noon]
Halle sat comfortably on the couch with Asher nestled in her arms, gently feeding him while humming under her breath. The baby's tiny hand rested against her chest, fingers flexing occasionally as he fed with sleepy determination. She looked tired. Well, it ain't easy when you've got a baby to take care of.
Scarlett stepped in quietly, carrying a glass of water and setting it beside Halle without interrupting. She leaned against the arm of the couch and watched them for a moment, her expression softening as Asher let out a small, satisfied sound.
Scarlett smiled faintly. "Looks like someone's having a serious lunch."
Halle gave a small amused smile while adjusting Asher slightly. "He's been hungry all day."
Scarlett nodded, watching Asher's slow blinking eyes. "Give him to me after. You need a breather, and Alex needs some time off from daddy duty."
Halle exhaled, not arguing. "That sounds really nice right now."
A few minutes later, Asher finished feeding and slowly drifted into that half-awake state, his tiny mouth relaxing while his eyelids grew heavy. Halle carefully lifted him against her shoulder and gently patted his back until he let out a soft burp. Scarlett stepped closer and reached out.
"I got him."
Halle handed Asher over, watching as Scarlett instinctively supported his head and settled him against her shoulder.
Halle leaned back against the couch, already feeling the exhaustion catching up. "Thank you. I didn't realize how tired I was."
"C'mon, we're family. So, you gotta stop thanking us every time," Scarlett said as she moved toward the nursery corner, rocking him gently while humming softly under her breath. Asher shifted once, then relaxed completely.
Scarlett thought. 'He isn't crying today, that's good.'
She adjusted the blanket around Asher and placed him gently into the crib. The baby stirred slightly, then settled again, completely asleep. Scarlett watched him for another second before turning off the brighter light and sitting on the single couch near the crib to keep an eye on him.

Meanwhile, Alex had already moved to his study. The calm father from earlier shifted naturally into the focused CEO as he picked up his phone and dialed.
Jane answered quickly. Alex leaned back slightly while scanning a document on his tablet. "Jane, how's Nikki Heat shooting going?"
Jane responded, updating him while flipping through her own notes. She informed him that they had already shot fifteen episodes for Season 1. Editing was completed and the promotional campaign had already started. Megan Fox, the rest of the cast, and Castle had been actively promoting across interviews and appearances. She also mentioned that the first episode would release on Titan's new TV channel, with marketing building momentum steadily.
"...all in all, we're going smoothly," Jane finished her report.
Alex nodded while listening, already picturing the rollout strategy. "That's faster than expected. Good work. What about House MD?"
"House MD had officially shifted streaming from FOX to Titan TV. The transfer went smoothly, and early subscriber numbers are already showing a strong bump from the announcement," She informed.
Alex allowed a faint smile. "That's going to help stabilize the channel early."
Jane agreed and added that the marketing team was pushing cross-promotion between Nikki Heat and House MD to maximize reach.
"Sounds solid. Tell the team they did well. And Jane, thanks for keeping everything tight."
Jane paused briefly, her tone softening slightly. "Of course. And... how's Asher doing?"
"He's doing great. Loud, hungry, already trying to take over the house," He replied with a smile.
Jane chuckled. "Sounds like he's already following his dad."
Alex looked toward the closed door of the study. "Yeah. He's already got the attitude."
Jane smiled on the other end. "Give him a hello from me when he wakes up."
"I will," Alex replied.
They talked for a bit more about the budget management and workplace conditions before he cut the call.
"Okay, that's two things done... Now, time for the casting of Lex Luthor, Joker, the main villain... Haaa... so much do," He mumbled to himself as he opened the movie script.
The gist of the Supergirl movie story follows the comic storyline with slight changes to fit the live adaptation:
'...The next movie in DC should be Batman, followed by Superman. Then, maybe Flash or Shazam. Then there is Wonder Woman and Aquaman. If I get the main origin story out of the way and I can establish the Justice League properly. And then, maybe I can recreate the perfect version of the Knightmare storyline that got abandoned in my past life. Then, there is the MCU. Dang! Too much fucking work for a one man,' Alex thought.
...
[Let's focus on Max, Caroline, and Evangeline]
Max, Caroline, and Evangeline stepped out of the spa, warm and relaxed after hours of massages, skincare, and far too much gossip. The afternoon sun felt pleasant, and the street buzzed with quiet midday activity as they walked side by side, still carrying the slow comfort of the spa.
Max stretched her arms above her head while walking. "I swear, if we did this once a week, I might actually become a decent human being."
Caroline laughed softly and adjusted her sunglasses. "You becoming a decent human being would completely ruin your brand."
Evangeline smiled as they walked, enjoying the banter. "I think she would still find a way to insult people even after a spa day."
"That is a personality trait, not a mood," Max replied, glancing around for a place to eat. "Now I'm starving. I want something unhealthy and expensive so I can feel emotionally fulfilled."
Caroline was about to respond when her attention shifted ahead. A woman walked slowly toward them, carefully holding two cats in her arms. One was a fluffy white cat, the other a sleek gray one, both looking completely comfortable being carried like royalty.
Caroline's face immediately lit up. "Ohh, look at them. They're so cute."
They slowed slightly as the woman passed by, and the cats blinked lazily at them like they owned the sidewalk.
Caroline watched them disappear before turning back with a thoughtful expression. "Maybe we should get a lady cat for our Nacho."
Max glanced sideways at her, already sensing trouble. "Yeah, and within a day they'll be doing doggy style in the corner and within two months we could be looking at fifty cats."
Caroline nodded thoughtfully for a second, then replied casually. "Max, you can't get pregnant doggy style..."
Both Max and Evangeline stopped walking at the same time and slowly turned toward Caroline with identical stunned expressions. They looked baffled as if they'd heard the most stupid thing in the world...
Caroline looked between them, her smile fading as confusion crept across her face. "...Right?"
