"Okay."
His voice echoed softly through the cavern.
"We'll separate into two groups."
He pointed toward the left passage.
"One group goes this way."
His finger then shifted toward the second tunnel.
"The other takes the right."
Nobody objected.
In fact, several of them quietly nodded.
It was the most logical choice.
Whoever had taken Gregor could be anywhere beneath this cave system. Staying together meant they might spend hours searching one tunnel only to discover he had been hidden in the other all along.
Splitting up doubled their chances.
Mary stepped forward first.
She glanced toward Agatha before smiling faintly.
"It would probably be best if both groups had a witch."
Agatha nodded almost immediately.
"I was thinking the same thing."
"Witchcraft is still our best defense against whatever illusion magic we've been dealing with."
Liam agreed.
There was no point placing both witches in the same group.
