Irina blinked at him. "Yesterday, Liam."
"No, I heard that part. Why are you saying yesterday as though I should already know what happened yesterday?"
She stared at him for a moment before understanding finally dawned on her face. "Oh. You've been sleeping since yesterday, Liam."
He fell silent.
Then he slowly rolled his eyes toward the ceiling.
"Right."
Of course. He had touched the crystal, received those strange system notifications, and collapsed. Apparently, whatever had happened afterward had taken considerably longer than he expected. He had assumed he had been unconscious for several hours at most, but it seemed his body had decided to take an entire day off without asking his permission.
Liam sighed and shook his head. "I suppose I needed the rest."
"You certainly did," Irina replied, her expression becoming more serious. "You were in terrible condition when I found you."
