He could see a group of people prepared with weapons on the other side of the door. If he opened the door he would get gunned down. Or more likely the bullets would bounce off his personal shielding.
The tank began to shuffle to the side as Jace materialized his knife in hand. "You are free to join me." He informed the siren.
"A Squad on me!" The siren leading them called out. "B squad, take that building. C Squad, take that building. D and E squads set up in the nearby area in case the Trade bastards come up from behind."
Jace slammed his foot into the door.
Creak! Bang!
The door flew out of its opening and through the short entrance hallway. There were several sounds of metal on metal as bullets bounced off the door. While Jace followed it in and punched it again when it stopped in the middle of the hallway.
