The entire meeting room went silent at the sound of the phone notification. I looked around the room with a scowl until I realized that the phone that went off was my own.
Who's messaging me at this time of day?
It was usually only Zach who ignored my schedule and called or messaged me whenever he pleased.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket, ignoring the gazes of everyone else in the room. We were in the middle of a large quarterly meeting that involved every department.
Instead of Zach, the message was from a new number, the one that I had registered under 'Leslie'. My lips curved up into a smile before my fingers moved to reply. The message consisted of only a simple single word, but it caused me to feel an entire array of emotions.
