Qi Changye stopped in front of the bedroom and hesitated for half a second before pushing it open. Fu Ling didn't even turn around and kept looking out the window.
Qi Changye walked over and stood behind him.
"Thank you for saving me."
Fu Ling shrugged
"It's what I should do."
Qi Changye didn't know how to respond to that so he just stayed silent. After a while, Fu Ling spoke again.
"I heard about what happened with your team from Zhang Meilin. Do you want to form an alliance with me?"
Qi Changye clenched his fists. He never thought that the worse betrayal would come from the people he personally trained and called brothers for years. But looking at the person in front of him, he inexplicably felt like it was worth it.
When Fu Ling noticed he wasn't saying anything, he turned around.
"What? Are you looking down on me for not having any powers?"
Qi Changye immediately denied it.
